We would love to hear your idea! We're looking for things to liven up the group a bit, get some more participation. :)

I was thinking of a challenge to go from June 1st to August 31st, where people try to read as many of their TBR books as they can.We could try to make it more interesting by having people spell out summer related words/phrases with the titles and names of authors of the books they read. I did some research and you'd be amazed how many holidays there are, mostly connected with the summer solstice.
Here's what I found for words/phrases to spell out:
Bonfires of Saint John, or St. John's Day
Midsummer
Independence Day
Summer Solstice, or First Day of Summer
Kupala Night
Lughnasadh
Canada Day
Golowan Festival
We could put these out and tell people to choose one they like.
What do you think?
Rachel, I'm trying to set up your challenge to start tomorrow but I'm a little confused by the word part do I was thinking of a slight change. There are 13 full weeks of summer. So what about the Lucky Thirteen Challenge. Members will pick 13 books from their TBR shelf and try to finish them between tomorrow and September 1st. We could set up threads like the ABC challenge and ask people to tell us anything they know about how they got that book, how long they have had it, why they never read it before, etc. what do you think?
Actually, Andrea, I like your idea much better than mine! It gives more leeway to read whatever one has on one's shelf ;).Let's do it!
