Starting a little early!

Up to chapter 3 (view spoiler)[ Man, it makes me so angry that they get tattoo's so flippantly. Cole has Ali's name on his chest and they haven't even known each other that long! Meh, I forgot that I didn't really like the two other books. I do like the zombie thing, it's really interesting but Ali and Cole are sooo stupid. Oh well, I'm still going to give this book a chance! That's exactly what i thought and axes weren't exactly romantic to begin with. I am still reading this but very slowly, I'm waiting for more action and less Cole and Ali.

Up to chapter 22. (view spoiler)[ didnt see it coming that Ali was adopted until it was mentioned that they had the same eyes and then it was obvious to me. I'm getting bored of the almost sleeping together and stopping themselves ritual, along with the identical description every time! Hopefully now that Ethan is back and offering the trade there will be more action and entertainment. (hide spoiler)]

When I read the firt one I totally fall in love with it: i loved the writing, the story, Ali and Cole (ok, especially Cole), but the second one was... meh. I was quite disappointed with it, so I'm a little bit frightened by this one, and I'me very happy to read it with you :)

chapters 1- 7 (view spoiler)[ I agree with you girls about the tattoo thing. I love tattoo but I think that's is very very stupid to tattoo on yourself the name of your girlfriend/boyfriend.
But I love Ali and Cole togheter, because they're witty and they make me smile... I found them funny, and also the others... I like the dialogues between them.
And I like also the chapter's title... I love when an author put a title for each chapter and not only a number, and these ones are good :)
Maybe I found a little bit... disappointing that we have just started the book and we're yet in a massacre, but I'm really really happy that Gavin is alive, because I like him, and I like him a lot! (I didn't remember him from the second book, but it's normal... my memory is not so good and I didn't like the book, so it's ok). (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 13(view spoiler)[ Ali's talents are really cool but it's kind of annoying that it's only her who can do these awsome things. I wonder who Helen is, the clues are pointing to her being related to Ali but I'm not 100% sure. Wow, she kicked ass in that pit, can't believe she ended up naked infront of everyone! Glad Cole was there to cover her. (hide spoiler)]

I couldn't remember what happened in the previous book either, i had to read my reviews because I was getting confused about who all the characters were. The dialogue is really witty i agree. :) It's good to have fun dialogue when there's a gritty plot with a lot of action.

Chapter 19 (view spoiler)[ Wow, that's kind of mind blowing. I'd be having a breakdown if I was Ali right now. What's happening to Gavin and Jaclyn is interesting but I hate that these vision are either about sex or violence. I understand it has to be shocking but why can't it be a happy memory? Not a weird or sad one. (hide spoiler)]

I agree with your comment Jordan, it's ridiculous that they can't keep their hands off one another but Cole is insisting that they 'wait' all the time. They should be focusing on all the destruction Anima is causing and finding a way to stop it.

chapter 16- 23 (view spoiler)[the first part of the book is full of action but in these chapters they're doing very little, they go around, they discover some things (but they don't speak about them... for example, it's a big and important thing that Amy gives her powers to the others when she's healing them, but she don't tell this to the others, just to Cole and not right away. I found it strange!. I'd like to see more action, and more Gavin! :P (hide spoiler)]

finished (view spoiler)[I agree with Amy, this series is weird! I don't know if I liked this book or not. I don't dislike it, for sure... but sometimes Cole is a dumbass, and it's a thing that annoy me. I'm happy that he and Ali are back for good, but I'm really really sad for Frosty! Poor guy!
I loved the final note (Cole's note) but I really didn't like the chapter from the second book that the author rewrite with Cole's point of view. I really dislike him in the second book and this chapter remind me exactly why I disliked him so much! (hide spoiler)]

--Why??? Did Anima decide NOW was the time to strike and strike heavy? Did they manage to do what they've been attempting for so long?
--She's RUTHLESS with these character deaths this round! which doesn't bode well at ALL for the rest of our zombie slayers.
--What exactly does Emma know, and why has it made her so sad?
--WHO?!?!?! Is this weird new woman, Helen, and what role does she have to play in all of this? EDIT: Helen is apparently Ali's birth mom. I'm curious now; did Ali's mom know about this? I assume she did, but...curiouser and curiouser the mystery gets. I'm also curious, and mildly concerned, about this sudden new power Ali wields. Like someone already pointed out--the last time she developed new and interesting powers, she tried to kill everybody.
--How is this new information going to effect Cole and Ali's relationship? Because when it comes to sticking by each other no matter what...those two really really suck at it.
--ALSO, I'm all about those sneaky steamy scenes being thrown around.
--Hmmm. To trust the visions, or to go with the rest of this series and realize there must be more to them? But...what more could there be? How will these ones play out in the end?

I just can't get over how much I LOVELOVELOVE Gena Showalter's writing. The snark and banter in her dialogue? So awesome and realistic! The world building?! Beyond creative.

She might just be one of my favorite authors ever. But now I need to read the fourth book...she HAS GOT to make up for my broken sobbing heart! (hide spoiler)]
