Diane | 40 comments Anything Edgar Allan Poe. His works are in so many different editions that it's hard to pinpoint one of them, although I do have a rare 1912 edition of his poems, which I love. His short stories are amazing not only because of the horror but of the way he writes. I think his poems are beautifully written and very thought provoking. I love the subjects he writes about and the atmosphere he creates in his works.

The Alienist- Caleb Carr is just one of the best historical fiction books I've read. The murder/mystery plot is so intriguing and the way he creates the turn of the 20th century New York City setting is unbelievably awesome.

Wuthering Heights- Emily Bronte is for me, the ultimate tale of dark love. Heathcliff is such a great character. There are also some lines (quotes?) in this book that are just beautiful.

The Crucible- Arthur Miller. Who doesn't love the Salem Witch Trials and parallels with McCarthyism? I have read this play so many times I've lost count.

Harry Potter- J.K. Rowling. Magical. Need I say more??

Nevermore (Nevermore, #1) by Kelly Creagh

Its an awesome paranormal book. It has different dimensions based on Edgar Allen Poe, an against all the odds love story, a totally hot punk guy :D, a great heroine, and a hilarious comic relief character. Its my all time favorite book

Riya The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.

Such an emotional book. I don't normally read WWII books any more, but this was seriously amazing. I was completely involved in the plot at all times and I loved every single character. This book is one of few that can make me super emotional. The fact that it has so much power over me makes it my favorite. Zusak's writing style is simply phenomenal!

I love angel books and this book just captivated me from the beginning. How it started off with the man the main character felt butterflies for by just being near him and how he acted like he wanted her to leave ( I know that happens a lot in book ) it all just made me want to keep reading. And then later on all the other characters who came in just helped to shape the whole story. I love this book!! ( and the rest of the series is also sooo amazing. I wouldn't regret buying it at all.)
