I've read a lot of James Rollins's novels and I think he is a great writer. His novels, which I have read have all been astounding and I couldn't help but think which one could of them be the most favourite novel of his for me, you, and any one of his readers.
I like Map of Bones and Black Order from the series, and Subterranean from the non-series ones.
Which ones are yours?

Favorite James Rollins novels...Hum...That's a hard one!
Well, I sort of like all of his books alright (except for his last two, specially Devil's Colony, urgh!)but my favorites' got to be Map of Bones and Black Order. The Last Oracle is good too, and so is Sandstorm! Also, Subterranean, even if that novel does have one of the most contrived, semi-insta-love subplots ever (that for some reason I realy enjoyed!)

Amazonia was my first Rollins book and I was hooked. I've read them all except maybe the latest. Spending too much time writing, but I like most of his books. I haven't found some of the latest as satisfying as some of the earlier, but I like them all nonetheless. Devil's Colony was probably my least favorite.
Black Order is #1 for me. Loved it on first read, and held up well on the rereading.
For stand alone, I also liked Altar of Eden.
It's the history and future science that makes me buy every Rollins book.
But I'm not a fan of the vampire books. You can tell when the other author takes over.

I've enjoyed all of them in book and audio formats till now. No problem with the Sigma Force formula. But the latest, "The 6th Extinction" was quite sub par in my opinion. I read it just a couple of months ago and promptly forgot everything about it so thoroughly that I checked it out again! Don't blame him for wanting to cash in but, jeez.
I would have to say, "Map of Bones" hands down. I was engrossed in the story and I learned much more than I had in the past from a fiction novel. That book really had me on google a lot!
almost all of his works are awesome... but for me, the best is judas strain. still haven't read sigma #7,#8,#9,#10 though.
Map of Bones, Blood Gospel, Bloodline, Eye of God and Sandstorm.
I have read several books by James Rollins now and I love his books. My favorite is "Ice Hunt". I was exhausted after reading that book. It would make a great movie.
How does one choose a favorite James Rollins novel? I love them all! If you twisted my arm and made me choose just one...I suppose I would have to go with the one that started it all for me, Amazonia.
My favorite would be the one that introduced me to him first: Deep Fathom. I have read all except Eye of God, which sits on my bedside table, and I like them all. I am more fond of the stand alone books. Sigma books are good, but I think getting a little repetitive and formulistic.
Just finished The Devil Colony, hence it is my latest fav
I think my favorite is Map of Bones, since it introduced me to Rollins in the first place. I liked Black Order as well after that and Amazonia too. All of them were very well-written, but these three stand out to me.
I loved Black Order and The Last Oracle. Reading Map of Bones now, and that seems really good too.
Map of Bones, Sandstorm are my favourites. I have yet to read Amazonia.
I would have to say all the Sigma Force Novels. Cannot wait for the new one.
I have read Map of Bones..."EXCELLENT!" and Devils Colony..."VERY GOOD, ALSO!" Of the two, Map of Bones was my favorite. I plan on reading all of James Rollins books...he is a great writer!!!!
i've only read The Last Oracle. been wanting to read the whole series but was looking for a reading buddy that wouldn't mean a slow reader as a partner.
Current favorites by Rollins would be The Blood Gospel and The Devil Colony.
All of them. Sigma Force Novels. But also all the novels like Amazonia, Excavation and Subterranean.
