Well Trained Mind Readers discussion

Sorry guys, I missed posting last. Don't know what happened. We are on week 8 and highlighting book # 6 in Susan Wise Bauer's Well Educated Mind fiction list - Jane Eyre.

I'm currently reading Death Comes for the Archbishop by Willa Cather. Enjoying it so far.

Death Comes for the Archbishop is so beautifully written! I finished that one as book number 3. :) It motivated me to pick up another book by Willa Cather later in the year.

Okay, you've both sold me! I'm doing a genre challenge and I have decided to choose Death Comes for the Archbishop as my western for April. I was struggling with this choice because I don't think I've ever read a book that falls in this genre so thanks for the help!

The Brain That Changes Itself: Stories of Personal Triumph from the Frontiers of Brain Science

The first one is like visiting an old friend and the second is fascinating so far. The section I just read about the recoveries of stroke victims and the new (or not so new, just not so well-known) therapies they have for autism is very compelling!
