Nooooo noo!! I don't mind starting two buddy reads, it's like reading two books at once - I'm just going to hold off different hours at the day for each, plus I've been waiting to read this since February 24th LOL!

How many chapters would be good?

but it looks like it's only about 250 pages.

Well if they're short is 20 chapters too much?
and then we could do on Wednesday another 20 and the last 16 on Thursday?

this is sort of weird so far uhm.. I'm on chapter 17 now and (view spoiler)[I don't feel like I can connect to Quinn...I don't even know what I feel about her so far. Why is she so intent/pushy on sex? and why did he say he loved her? I feel like we barely know Quinn. I'm so conflicted at the moment. (hide spoiler)]

and who are these neighbors!?! and just ewww! Where did that come from?!?!

and him hurting her?!?! this is just such a double bombshell to drop on us.

I honestly had no idea, like what was even going on......

After chapter 20 I felt like I was done. That's it for today. Might pick it up later or something. I think we might even finish it tomorrow? Considering each chapter is really short.

It might get better towards the end? I have no idea but I really hope so, and maybe Delicate is better? The synopsis for that one sounds promising. At the moment my brain is like trying to sort out all of these weird happenings, I really don't know what I think about this so far.

I stopped at chapter Twenty three (because the next two were short)

and it's all just.....yuck.

I still don't get why they added the physical violence in there.

or why she went off on Quinn.I felt like her response was so off the handle.

Is it the pills she's on that make her moods so erratic? Or does she have some other psychological issues?

This is just weird. And I don't feel like I know either character well enough to care enough.

Right now it's all just....gross.

I agree! Her reaction to Caroline/Lynnie staying over at Ben's was shocking. Have some faith in the guy, he's falling head over heels, TRUST HIM when he says nothing is going on and that ''Lynnie'' and him aren't an item anymore.

I fail to see how we're supposed to sympathize with her......she's shallow, selfish, ridiculous and the way she expects him to sleep with her? Give the guy a freaking break! You didn't even return the L-word. And the Mark thing? UGH. WHAT ARE WE READING.

Well it better...and I hope it does. The synopsis ends with, "But how far can you push someone, even someone who loves you, before they are gone for good?" I have a feeling it might get better, lets not lose all hope.. LOL. Fingers crossed!

I think Delicate is going to be better than this one, the synopsis sounds way better and hopefully Sydney isn't like Quinn....I don't think I can stand another Quinn.

I'm not sure. I'm not totally sold on this writer's style. Like above, I'm not a big fan of the information about the abuse just casually dropped in and then not talked about.

I mean, almost entire loss of fingers is kind of a big deal! but we aren't getting anything more about...it's just jarring..it feels off. I hope it starts to even out. We either get more info or less....

Agreed! This is actually disappointing in terms of my expectations, I was expecting (clearly) too much. We were excited and all and this is what we get. sigh.

This is ridiculous. So much unneeded drama. Quinn is so infuriating and appalling god sake. got 95 pages left.

I don't see what's so special about Quinn, why is Ben acting and following after her like a love sick puppy? Get over her. After everything she has done.....how can anyone forgive her?

Caroline seems so calm, genuine, lovely and just perfect for Ben while Quinn on the other hand is a drama-attracting shallow person bleugh

I'm glad I helped you pull through, trust me, I don't think I would've done it either if it wasnt for you. This is why I like buddy reading, if I were to read this without someone, I think the book would've been out the window the second I read chapter 10 lol.

Right!! :D do we plan on reading the second book? If you want to then I don't mind, who knows, we might need each other again....LOL. This is actually one of the worst books I've read so far this year, I don't think I've come across one so horrible as this one though. Most books that look and sound promising end up either good or okay, this was just....no comment.

I don't think I want to read the second book anytime soon though, I feel like this has ruined enough of my reading spirit. This was just hopeless.

Lol. Yeah I don't think I could take book 2 or even the prequel anytime soon!! Ugh!

But I hope you will read them with me when I do!!! I can't imagine facing this alone!! Lol

I agree this was by far one if the worst books I've read in a while.just hopeless and so frustrating - I couldn't even muster up enough emotion for Quinn to feel sad for her.
