I haven't yet read this book but i have never ever seen so many negative reviews for a book before. 2.62 as an average??? That's disgraceful. What was it that was so terrible about this book?

It wasn't bad. Its just some of the people in the book are creepy. Its one of those books that makes your think. and some times it was harrd to follow. i rather enjoyed the book and by the end i was wished there was a second one.
Speaking strictly from a syntax perspective, the book was very excellently written and the author actually can do a page-turner, but I agree with some of the reviews that said that the plot was a little disjointed and hard to follow. It was already pushing 500 pages so maybe the editor should've shortened some of the scenes and asked the author to add in a better flow, especially towards the rather abrupt end (which seems to be the biggest problem with most of the negative reviews.)
It made for a great Halloween read at least!

I agree if I had own the book I would have read it for haloween and ray , akes a god point that times the book does become a bit of a page turner its just getting tonthose parts that gets confusing
Ok, it wasn't bad. i understand why some people wouldn't like it though. the plot was horrible. The setting was great and I loved how she developed all the characters.
I actually really loveeeddddd this book, but I am kinda disappointed because the author left so many cliff hangers in the end with the promise of having a sequel to the book and after 5 years, she hasn't said anything about it
I happened to love this book. It was slow at first, but the magic is so original and it leaves you wanting more.
