Sally Bailey (dramatherapist) | 1 comments Hello, I'm a registered drama therapist who believes that the arts are for everyone. I direct a group in Manhattan, Kansas called The Barrier-Free Theatre for adolescents and adults with and without disabilities. Each year we create an original play based on the ideas and improvisations of the group and perform it at the Manhattan Arts Center. I direct the drama therapy program at Kansas State University and a number of my students come here specifically because they want to work with people with disabilities.

Hello - I'm an user experience and accessibility consultant who is also deaf. I have experienced first hand frustrations as a student navigating education as well as an employee in higher education in terms of communication access. As a result, I wrote a book about captioning and communication access for individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing in various aspects of their lives - including education. I also present at events and conferences and provide workshops/training. If any of educational institutions need to better understand communication needs of deaf and hard of hearing students, they can buy my book and hire me for workshops/trainings and speaking engagements.
