Jamie walked over, aligning herself with the dummies. She pulled two of her throwing knives from their hidden sheathes. She threw them, each hitting an eye, or where the eyes would be. She stretched her arms a few moments before going and retrieving them.
Jamie threw a few more times before deciding she'd had enough. She replaced them in their sheaths and walked away.
On his way in, Jim nearly knocked over someone, but detected the person before her ran over them. He raised his eye brows and looked downwards to see Jamie. He smiled brightly and stepped back so he could see her better. "Hi!" He said happily as he waved to her, "How are you, Jamie?" He frowned and furrowed his brow at her expression, "Are you sad? You're eyebrows are all scrunchy." He asked with concern.
The big lug had just woken up, and had been barked at to go find Emma, but could not find her in the medical ward, and was not in the bunk above his, so he decided to come down here. In his hand he held one of Emma's baskets that was filled with brand new apothecary bottles and fresh white gauze.
The basket was a medium size, but in comparison to his rather enormous body and hand, it looked like a little toy for a small child.
((is Jim in one of the create a character topics?))
Jamie stepped out of his way and smiled at him; she hadn't realized she'd been scowling while lost in thought.
"Nothing's wrong," she said to the gentle giant. "I'm just thinking." She shook her head in an attempt to clear her thoughts. "Now who did you say you were looking for?"

((Yes.))"I was supposed to find Miss Emma." Jim replied, then looked around, "Have you seen her? She don't fight, but she could maybe be here."
((Which one? I can't seem to find him...))
Jamie thought for a moment before remembering something she'd heard that morning. "She was going to tell William something, I believe. Mayhap they've returned to the command room?"

((? Really? Jim Styson? ))"Oh." Jim said with slumped shoulders, "William."
Jim shifted nervously from to foot to foot, "W-will you come with me?" He asked shyly.
((I still don't see him. Hmm...))
She nodded. "I don't see why not," Jamie said with a small smile. "I was in need of something to do, anyhow."

Jim smiled brightly at her and nodded his thanks, "Oh! Thanakyouthankyouthankyou!" He said happily, then turned to start walking towards the command room.
William sat on a bench in the Training Yard and took out his set knives and daggers. With a flick of his wrist, he threw a knife into the heart of a dummy. He stood, and one by one, a dagger or knife pierced a dummie's heart. When he finished, he didn't bother removing them, instead sitting back on the bench.
Eponine waited, watched as William was throwing his knives, knowing enough not to get in the way at that point. She swallowed hard, moving over closer to him, "William?" she called softly, unsure if he would want her here at all. She swallowed hard, moving to sit beside him, watching him carefully for some sort of reaction. She wanted to reach out and take his hand, but refrain. He looked defeat, and for the first time in a long time, there was a pang in her chest.
"Yes?", William asked, looking up at her. As he looked up, his tiredness disappeared and a look of cheerfulness replaced it. A personal rule of William's was to not show his real emotions in front of anybody in public.
Eponine noticed how quickly he changed, she shook her head. "Drop it William, I've been watching you for to long. I know you're not half as cheerful as you're pretending to be. You don't need to pretend," she reached out to rest her hand over his gently, her eyes sparking with concern. She bit her lip, looking at him. "We need to talk, Will, you know we do."
With a sigh, William dropped his mask of cheerfulness. He felt his heart beat faster when she touched him and looked at her. "I know we do. But it's never going to happen, Eponine. You still love him, I know you do. Maybe not as much, but you do", he said.
"I know Will, I'm not going to deny it, but did you ever stop to think he wasn't the first one I fell for?" she asked him softly, hating that now after all this time, she finally had the guts to bear her soul to him. She withdrew her hand, wrapping her arms around her small body. Her first crush had been Will, it seemed like so long ago now, but then He had started talking to her, started treating her like there was something there, it won her over, but it killed her when she figured out he had never felt the same way.
"He wasn't?", William asked, gazing at her. He'd never known she'd liked anyone else but his friend. That was why he had never told her, never told her what he had always felt.
Eponine shook her head, her eyes flicking away from him, a blush coloring her cheeks. She swallowed hard, words evading her. She had always said the wrong thing at the wrong time. She couldn't believe how bold she was being right now. It wasn't like her. She looked down, finding her feet very, very interesting at the moment.
"Oh", was all William could say as he noticed Eponine's blush and the way she was avoiding his eyes. He smiled. He moved closer beside her and kissed her gently. "I love you, Eponine. I've always loved you, Eponine. Always", he said softly.
Eponine was taken aback when he kissed her, but she found herself leaning into it, reaching up to lightly touch his cheek, her hand shaking in disbelief. She felt a shudder race through her body, a blissful chill. "Will, you thought I loved him from the beginning but I didn't. I had followed you around like a lost puppy, but I never knew how to say anything, I was so young. I got swept up in this huge idea of changing the world," she told him, her voice barely a whisper. "I love you, Will."
William smiled. "It's my fault. I brushed you off because I never in my life ever thought you could possibly love me. It was only further confirmed in my mind when I saw that you loved him. I'm sorry", he said.
((I still feel bad for Emma though, this wasn't where I planned on it going....it's much, much better))
"Why would you think I couldn't love you?" she asked him, skimming her fingers down his cheek. It was a little odd to be practically in his lap. "That's what you told me last night, wasn't it?" She remembered him speaking, her murmuring out responses, but she couldn't remember what passed between them. It had slipped her mind.
"Yes, I did. You asked me and I just... I don't know, answered on a whim", William admitted. He wrapped his arms around her. "You know, you really are the best girl any guy could have, really."
Eponine blushed like crazy, a small smile touching her lips. "I'm not that great. All I ever do is cause drama. I mean, I do what I can," she tried to shrug it off, trying to pretend like being wrapped up in his arms wasn't like having her hand around an electric fence, but much, much more enjoyable.
"Yes, you are, Eponine. You, really, don't know the effect you can have on people. Really. You amaze people with your intellect, you astound people with your determination, and you blow everyone clear and away with the way you navigate through everything so calmly. You, Eponine, are one of those people who just fit in people's lives", William said softly.
Eponine looked up at him, a smile playing at her lips as she moved up to press her lips firmly to his, overwhelmed by the sense that she was home, in his arms, here, their lips pressed together. Her heart pounded in her chest, her slight frame pushing closer to him. When she unwillingly pulled away she couldn't stop the smile that had spread wide over her cheeks. "We need to get back. You know they need us there. You know, lack of leadership."
"I guess we do. Just let me get my stuff and then we'll go, okay?", William asked, smiling back at her, his heart beating twice as fast from the kiss.
"Okay, we can walk back together," she replied, shifting away from him so he could get up. She tucked stray locks of hair behind her ear, swinging her feet like a child, the blush still near scarlet across her cheeks.
((Not that I'm against Willponine, but what will he do about Emma. He just kissed Emma...twice. And admitted to himself it felt alright. But he seems to think the same thing about Eponine.))
Megan wrote: ""Okay, we can walk back together," she replied, shifting away from him so he could get up. She tucked stray locks of hair behind her ear, swinging her feet like a child, the blush still near scarl..."
William got up and deftly removed the knives and daggers from the dummies. 'Eponine loves me. Emma loves me. Kissing both of them felt right. But I've always loved Eponine, I've never loved Emma intimately, not the way I do Eponine, at least', William thought to himself as he collected his weapons. He smiled at Eponine and held out his hand.

Eponine took his hand, standing up, their bodies brushing as she moved beside him, intertwining her fingers with his, not aware of the conflict going around in Will's head. She moved close to will so she could lay her head on his shoulder. Hoping Emma wouldn't hate her too much.
William said quietly,"Emma is going to kill me. God, Eponine, she said she loved me. What am I going to do?" He sighed quietly, imagining Emma's look of hurt and anger.
Eponine swallowed hard, her blood running cold for a moment. "Do you love her? Do you really, really love her?" she asked him, knowing what would happen without a shadow of a doubt if his answer was what she thought it would be.
"Yes, as a sister, though. Not the same way I've always loved you, Eponine. Emma's always been like younger sister to me in a way", William replied.
"Then she won't say anything," Eponine whispered softly. She swallowed hard. "She'll want what makes you happy. In the end, that's what love does. It hurts and it feels like it'll kill you, but in the end, you accept what you can't have and you pull yourself back together and go on."
"If you say so, Eponine", William said with a soft sigh. He kissed her gently. "Come on. Might as well get it over and done with"
Eponine nodded, moving to approach the command room, a blush still coloring her cheeks. "You first, or shall I?" she asked him, her hand on the knob, watching him.
"I'll do it", William decided, twisting the door knob and opening the door.
