Hi all, wanted to share several new books on Alaska out...several from Braided River, most recently "On Arctic Ground," worth looking at. Also The Seventymile Kid by Tom Walker is a detailed and fascinating account of the life of Harry Karstens, first superintendent of Denali Park and on the first expedition to summit Denali. Nick O'Connell has a novel out called The Storms of Denali which is doing really well. And I hope you'll enjoy North of Hope: A Daughter's Arctic Journey...my memoir is out April 9 and you can enter a giveaway for a chance to win it free!

Hi Shannon. I have written "Alaska! Up North and to the Left," which is now available through Amazon.
The story takes place in Bethel, Alaska. The novel is about a young couple moving from California for professional reasons. She is a physician in need of paying back a school loan, he is a commercial pilot in quest of experience. Together, they share their new life in the bush, from the pipes freezing to the their insertion to the Yupik Eskimo culture. I hope you will enjoy it if you ever decide to read it!
