Every so often a publisher or distributor will feature limited-time-offer sales on their titles. And occasionally these same groups offer freebie eBook downloads for selected titles as well.

I think we all don't mind saving a penny now and again, so please feel free to post on this thread if you hear of a free offer, or that a sale is taking place, and want to share the news. Many of the group members will be most grateful to you for the information!

I just had a look through their catalogue, and what the heck, I decided to be self-indulgent and so I ordered a couple of titles (which I will no doubt mention here on the forum before too long...).

You don't have to join twitter to take advantage just keep the link handy. I still haven't read all the free books I got last time.

Rats, I'm afraid this is going to be a source of irresistible temptation, even though I've put myself on a tight budget for the time being and was determined NOT to buy any new books right now. Arrrrgh.....

Be aware that the author has said that she fixed some plot holes, etc in the Turbulence Collection in case you'd prefer to get that. It's $5.99.

Anyone catching any freebies at DSP? Due to my confusion with time zones, I missed getting a copy of Water Waltz. Do you know if the tweets & sales are at multiple, random times throughout the day or just once at the same time each day?

Unfortunately, it seems extremely unlikely that I'm going to manage to catch any freebies they're giving away over the next month, darn it all. I do check in on their Twitter page each time I sit down at the computer, but the chance I'll happen to be at the computer at the same time the publisher is running a giveaway is practically nil. Arrrrrrrgh....

('Course, if they had a giveaway at the same time every day I could make a point of trying to be at the computer, but---I don't know if they're scheduling it this way.)

Still, I do plan to take advantage of their sales events. At the moment I'm trying to decide on a couple of books from their sale list to buy this week.... decisions, decisions....

Jax----thanks SO MUCH for mentioning that the Turbulence series is currently free over on Amazon---I've just downloaded the lot.

I've been curious to try out these stories for a while---if I like what I read, perhaps I'll spring for the one-volume, revised and polished version.

I believe they tweet at random times (usually at least twice a day) for a 1 hour period. That's how it was for the November tweetaways when they gave away 60 books.

As for the GMT times, if you click on the tweet with the announcement it should show you the time of the tweet. It also shows on twitter how long it's been since the tweet and as long as that time is in minutes you should be able to catch the free book. They also tweet reminders at 30 and 15 minutes left so that's something to look for as well.

Not sure if this will help or not, but good luck the rest of the month!

These sales events and give aways are seriously harming my resolve to not get any more new books until I've had a good go at reducing my current to-read list.

Actually, this is going to end up rather like a treasure hunt (if a treasure hunt was governed completely by chance and luck and not any skill on my part, that is). It's fun to see if I can catch any of these one-hour offers while they're running. I managed to snag this book as well---just before I had to turn off the computer because a thunderstorm was rolling through the area. So, that made me happy---I love freebies.

I'm thinking, what the heck, why don't I dive into it right off and see what I think...

Thanks for the heads-up; never hurts to save a few pennies! Everyone should take note, though, that Carina sells ePub files---so if you have a Kindle you'll need to convert them to mobi files using Calibre.
