What are some of your favorite things to cook? Do you have a favorite type of cooking you like best? Certain flavors or styles you use most? Do you have "specialities" or maybe dishes you're famous for?

Soups and stews were favorites when my 3 sons were at home. With homemade bread they made nutritious filling meals that I could make ahead and have ready to accommodate busy schedules. Now I make them and freeze individual portions for fast meals for the two of us. When everyone comes home for holidays and visits I like to have a meal with three different soups to appeal to different tastes and diets. One of the soups is usually Borsht which is my sons' favorite but not necessarily a favorite with daughter-in-laws and grandchildren. Beets have a bad reputation!
We have seasonal favourites, mostly due to when the children were at home made using home grown or seasonal fruit & veg.Blackberry & apple crumble cake, courgette cake, pumpkin pasta, pumpkin pie , pumpkin quiche, vegetable chilli, roast pumpkin soup with freshly made bread.
Chicken rice with almonds & lime, African veg & bean stew.
I love to cook, so do our kids.
I like to cook pastas, chicken, I like to bake as well; cheesecakes, pies, cupcakes, lemon squares. Theres so much I have cooked and want to cook! It is so much fun.
