I'll probably try to see it at some point, though not sure if we'll get the chance in theaters, may have to wait for DVD. We only make it to the movies once or twice a year :(
OMG!!! Carrie is being remade??!!?? How did I overlook that. I do agree with you Debra, I can't imagine an improvement on the original - it is indeed a classic and I loved it. Also, I don't see how they could improve on the cast, The original cast was really good. I will be interested to see what changes are made.

Mixed feelings.
First the negative.
1. Looks Like A Big Budget Hollywood special Effects Movie that would end up being P.G 13.
2. The Actress, (Chloe grace Moretz ) is very pretty. Its Not true to the Character in the Book. Carrie is supoposed to be Ugly. I personally Didn't think Sissy was ugly either, But at Least she was plain Looking.
Now the Positive.
1.Both Chloe Grace Moretz and Julian Moore are good actors. 2.The Director is actually pretty good. ( The Movie she directed prior to this slips my Mind right Now. )3.And from what I have seen in the trailer it looks like there is in fact some good acting going on.
Chloe could've decided to play Carrie "Crazy", rather than being the Ugly Duck.
In The End I would probably be dissapointed no Mater what. The first Movie was a Classic.

Very good points Angela. I also don't think that Sissy was ugly either, but the way they had her plain jane and made the other "girls" so pretty, that helped to see her in the light. I don't think I know the actress Chloe Grace Moretz, maybe I will Google her and check her out. I want to see the movie just to see what this director's outlook will be on the movie. But there is nothing that will replace the classic Carrie movie for me.
I hear ya, Linda. I want to see the new movie just because of Juliana Moore. She looks like she did well in her role of Carrie's mother.
OMG Debra Juliana Moore is playing Carrie's mom!!! Wow, I'm not sure that I see that type of person in her, she is a good actress though, I really like her.

Juliana Moore and Chloe Grace Moretz are good actors. Chloe Grace Moretz was sensational in "let me in" as well as "Kick ass and "Hugo", but like I said she is too pretty to play Carrie. Even if she weren't NO ONE is Carrie White except for Sissy Spasek!

I keep picturing Sissy with that look on her face as the blood drips down. I'll wait till you all have watched this remake before I decide if I'll watch it.
I so agree with all of you ladies, the directors totally got that Carrie White right with Sissy Spasek!!
