I've heard of Christian Day, but not the tradition or, indeed, the late Shawn Poirier. If he had written a book, it may have been self-published? Probably best to contact the tradition to enquire.

Laurie Cabot's link: Laurie Cabot and her website: http://www.lauriecabot.com/Re their commercialism, it does irk me a bit.
I looked up Shane's website. Yes, I got that feeling too, just from the way his friends spoke of him. Laurie Cabot's website said she opened up her first magic shop in Salem just after the Bewitched series started being aired, in the 1970s. The public loved it.
What do others think of Cabot's and Day's books? Worth reading?
I couldn't find any publications credited to Shawn Poirier either, so unfortunately he doesn't have a GR page. If anyone finds any publications, even co-written stuff, I can get my author/GR librarian alter ego to add them to GR, along with Poirier's bio.
We could also set up a separate thread for him in this group if others like the idea? Maybe in the Practical Pagan section?
