I get pretty excited whenever I buy new books. I feel like bragging to one and all. So thought of setting up this forum where we can show off our purchases and brag about the discounts (or lament the lack thereof)

In the past 7 days I bought all 5 books of Percy Jackson. The first one from Higgin Bothams, Manipal for a discount of 20% (Rs. 240), the rest ordered from flipkart with a total discount of 35-40% with each book costing around Rs. 190. And to my delight, I received the shipment in less than 24 hours of ordering.
The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) by Rick Riordan The Last Olympian (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #5) by Rick Riordan The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #2) by Rick Riordan The Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #3) by Rick Riordan The Battle of the Labyrinth (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #4) by Rick Riordan

My next quest would be Hobbit, as my son is already clamoring for it.

@Poornima, Flipkart services had deteriorated for a short while a few months ago, with higher prices and longer delivery time, but they are back on track.

:D
There are a couple of shops in Laxmi Nagar which have a huge pile of books being sold at a flat rate of Rs-25. Most of them are autobiographies of reality TV stars and old US republican leaders. But if you sift through them enough (for half an hour or so,) sometimes you can find some nice books. I checked Amazon.in and these books are still being sold for Rs 250 or more. Lucky me :)

Like all other PC books it doesn't have a story line(this one especially),but of course story is not that matters for his books. There aren't even characters... Its just a person preaching to an audience and the speech is just divided into chapters. But I liked it immensely...somehow it had a profound effect on me.This time I was able to derive the exact meaning of the lines because it is given in a simple and direct way and not in the form of a story. So I rated it 4/5.
