What a cool way to celebrate your birthday!

The event sold out in the first 30 minutes. The tickets went on sale at 1 pm, but I wasn't going to be home to buy a ticket until 3pm. I didn't take into account the time-zone difference, so in a stroke of pure luck they went on sale right when I logged on at 3 EST. Wow!

Wow! It's sold out already! I hope you get a signed copy of the book.
Thanks, Janice! It's general admission, first come, first seated. Assuming that most people in attendance will be locals, coming from jobs, school, etc. I have a great chance of getting right up front since I have no prior obligations while I'm in Boulder. Perhaps I can get front row in the King's court. Now I have to ponder whether or not I should ask a question during the Q&A. Anyone have any suggestions for burning questions? I can be the "official" reporter for the group.
Wow, I read about the event and so wished I could go! I'm glad you were able to get a ticket with that fast sell-out! You'll have to tell us all about it when you get back. Hope you get a signed copy!

"Join us for a memorable evening with author Stephen King in celebration of the release (September 24) of "Doctor Sleep," the long awaited sequel to "The Shining." Mr. King's visit to return to Boulder is very special as he resided in Boulder in 1974, when he wrote "The Shining." Mr. King will talk, read and answer questions. Mr. King will not be signing books but will pre sign a limited quantity of "Doctor "Sleep" that will be randomly distributed at the event."
So I did something crazy and bought a ticket to attend the event in Boulder on Wednesday September 25th. It falls on my birthday, so it's a present to myself. I already had the week off from work. I still have to book the flight from Detroit. I'm stoked beyond belief. Anyone else planning on attending? It would be a great meeting place for King fans.
