Rosaria | 34 comments I absolutely love to travel and, of course, read ... so, I wonder if there are any books that have inspired people in the YA & NA Romance Group to travel to the places they've read about?

I recently read Out of Breath (Breathing, #3) by Rebecca Donovan by Rebecca Donovan and am inspired to revisit Santa Barbara, California. This is where my husband proposed to me so it already holds a special place in my heart. Like in the story, I think it would be great to rent a seaside home along the California coast during Spring Break or over part of the summer.

Has anyone else gotten the itch to visit a place where a favorite story has taken place? If so, what is the book and where is the place you visited or would love to see one day? Plus, since we are all on GR, how many stars would you give this book?

Thanks for sharing!

Rosaria :D

Cinthia (cinthiah) I loved Amy and Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson by Morgan Matson. It made me want to go on a road trip so badly, and I was planning one with my friend, but it didn't work out. I still haven't given up on the idea, though.

Trina | 8 comments After reading A Veil of Glass and Rain by Petra F. Bagnardi I want to visit Rome in Italy!

Sarah Oxford (sarahloxford) | 1260 comments I wanted to visit Kefalonia after reading Corelli's Mandolin by Louis de Bernières and I did do so for my honeymoon 7 years ago :)

Generally speaking there are loads of places I want to visit that i've read about, but mostly it's the small towns or lesser known places that intrigue me.

You should do it! Road trips are tons of fun:) What rating would you give Amy and Roger's Epic Detour?

Hi Andrea,
Wow! This book sounds great (I got the gist of the blurb from my knowledge of Portuguese). I wish it were available in English though. Noelia Amarillo seems to be a favorite Spanish romance novelist.

What rating would you give Ardiente Verano by Noelia Amarillo ?

Like you, I would love to travel to Spain some day and visit Madrid and Barcelona.

Joy Daniels (joy_daniels) I read Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor a couple of months ago and now I MUST go to Prague!

Perhaps in 2015 (we're going to London in 2014 :-) )

Sarah Oxford (sarahloxford) | 1260 comments I'd like to go to Prague too, although I haven't read that book so not for the same reason :)

Enjoy London next year, I'm going once a week for work at the moment but that's no fun! I haven't been just for fun for years and years, which is poor really given I live only 1.5 hours drive away.
