ShoSho, thanks for the PM. I thought the thread wasn't set up yet.It long weekend here in SIngapore starting Thursday. Hubby and I are taking advantage of it. We should be back by 11 but I'll be able to start only on 12. But that's ok. I'll quickly catch up. I already loaded the book into my Kindle.

Poor Miles! I just finished chapter two
I'm reading chapter 6 .I'm loving this so far! I feel for Miles. There were 2 things that made my heart ache for him .one where he was thinking about when he was 15 and (view spoiler) and the other one when his father was in his room (view spoiler)

The only thing in my head reading this has been "poor Miles" and "poor Elena" !!

I'm done! Wonderful book.
The only thing I didn't like in the whole book was Elena's reaction to(view spoiler) I think he deserved better .
I'm done till Chapter 13. Miles is such a great character. It's so good to read a very flawed hero. The only thing I'm not onboard is Miles' feelings towards Elena. Why do I get the feeling she's not going to reciprocate?And it's very very hard not to click the spoilers. I'm going back to reading it..

I just finished the book and it was awesome.I didn't expect that Bothari development. And I agree- Elena's reaction was horrible. Bothari certainly did deserve better. Miles this time chewed more than he should have. Poor Bothari.
Coming to Miles - he's an awesome awesome character. It was like reading a romp; never knowing what was happening next.
So next book?

Yes, Bothari certainly deserved better. I think he was as much a victim of Vorrutyer and Prince Serg as Elena Visconti was.
We can read the next one anytime after the Dresden Read.

And Elena doesn't even bother getting more info about Bothari. I mean, he was employed by Aral & Cordelia and the least she could do is talk with them about it. Instead, she jumps into such a half-baked conclusion. Gah. Didn't like her at all after that.

While it's book 2 in the publication order and book 4 in the chronological order, the author has written this series so that each book can stand on its on. Feel free to join us, this book is the first book in Miles Naismith Vorkosigan adventures .
