(Yes, he'll be here. *Shivers* They're testing some of their weapons on him so he won't be in very good shape though.)

(Aww no poor tomlin. I was thinking they catch her as well. Maybe put them in a cell together and watch them get hurt.aw I'm so mean)

Jewel dismounted her horse and pulled the mare along behind her. She hide behind a tree as she found a weak spot in their look out."so this is why he left"she said softly looking at it. Smoke blew from all different areas telling it was a forge

(Well that would certainly motivate him a lot more)

One of Tomlin's eyes was swollen shut and the other was closed in exhaustion as he slumped against the wall he was chained to. He was covered in scrapes, gashes, bruises and an assortment of other injuries. He was also dirty and covered in a sheen of sweat.

(Yes that's what I was thinking ^_^ so mean today)

"Where are you Tomlin"she said aloud as she thought about him being in there so close yet still so far from her reach. She sighed as stepped back as she pulled good from the saddle and ate after the long ride. This new information could set the war balance into the enemy's favor if she didnt act quick.

His stomach growled and and he moaned. He hadn't eaten since they had captured him and begun using him as a test subject. He shuddered slightly which made everything hurt more. His body was slick with sweat and blood and he was fairly certain that if he didn't get his wounds treated soon they would get infected. His only solace in the situation was that Jewel, Rose, and And were safe. He hadn't even been able to save the girl who had looked so much like Ana.

(I was thinking skip to at night and she sneaks in to get him. She ends up seeing him almost getting him out of his chains before they get her too)

Jewel made plans by watching the towers and the change of guards how she would get in that night. She had packed food and water to her side and set herself up with her weapons before hiding her mare with food and near a stream. She sighed and waited for night to befall them.

(Okay, but I should get off now so we can continue tomorrow)

When night fell a guard threw Tomlin back into his cell and chained him to the wall again. His throat was so raw from screaming and he was so tired he couldn't even muster up a groan as his bruised and battered body was thrown around. Once the guard was gone Tomlin spat a sharp, thin piece of metal into his hand and got to work on picking the locks on the shackles on his hands. The metal shard had been a part of one of the weapons they had tested on him earlier and he had grabbed it with his teeth when they weren't looking.

(Aww ok night then)

Jewel made her move. It wasnt as hard as she had thought sneaking in. She had walked in with almost no resilience bare killing one person. She followed the trail of where she had heard from the other guards saying about their enemy prisoner. She knocked out a few guys on the doors and walked into the cells. They were all empty bare the last on at the end. She stood still as she saw the man in it. Tomlin. She quickly opened the cell her good up over her face as she walked towards him slowly in the dark.

Tomlin got one of the locks open and pulled his hand free and set to work on the other when he heard a snap. No, no, no. He thought, pulling the metal out of the lock. There was a small bit protruding from the lock that stay in when he pulled the metal out. He cursed loudly despite his raw throat when he heard a few thumps outside of his cell he stopped was on alert, bracing himself for another round of tests. The door of his cell opened and he squinted his good eye, trying to see who was coming in.

Jewel made her way over to him and gasped as she took in the sight of him batters in marks and still covered in blood. She pulled her hood off and looked at him,"Tomlin" she said softly her eyes almost teary as she touched his face and pulled water out of a flask putting it to his lips. "You idiot" she said softly as she smiled weakly at him. she said before she felt the earge to hold him but with his cuts and brusies it would hurt him more then anthing.

Tomlin drank greedily for a moment then paced himself, knowing what would happen if he continued to guzzle it down. Once he had drained the flask dry he weakly batted it away and strained to look at Jewel. He couldn't see very well, or hear very well for that matter but he knew it was her. "What are you doing here?" He asked harshly, though his words slurred a little since he was slightly delirious.

She took the flask and tucked it back under her cloak before pulling out dried meat. "Im here to get you away from here. We are meant to be a team if you have forgoten" She said putting it in her mouth and chewing before moving a step closer to him and leaning in. To anybody else it would look like she was kissing him but really she oepned his mouth up and moved the food into his mouth before pulling back. "Swallow" she told him, she had chewed it so it was easier for him. She went to work on his chains.

He did as he was told, his stomach cramping painfully as real food was introduced for the first time in days. "GetoutbeforetheycomebackJewel." He said. He knew that at any moment a few of the guards who weren't stationed to guard him would come for his daily taunting. It happened every night and he ignored it easily but he didn't want them seeing him free of his chains or worse, to see Jewel freeing him.

She shock her head, "Im not leaving unless your coming with me"She said softly as she looked up at him as she got his leg chains off, they almost hit the ground as she quickly picked them up and set them down without a word. She went to get his wrist chains to find them already free she smirked up at him. "You cheeky devil" she said getting him off the wall and putting her arms under him to help hold him up. "Come on" she said looking at his bloody face and wincing seeing her loved one like this.

He struggled to his feet with her help and only just managed. "Wehavetohurry." He said, trying not to lose consciousness. "They'llbebacksoon." He limped to the door with her, their progress slow. He forced himself to straighten despite the pain it caused his back and moved faster. He didn't care how much pain he was in, he wanted out before they caught Jewel.

"I know Tomlin i know" she said quitly, even know she had knocked out the guards she knew there would be more soon. She held him to her knowing he was in pain but they needed to get out of here before anything could be done about it. They got passed his cell door and almost to the prison gate before she heard sounds coming. She frowned and moved to find a space to hide them but there was almost no where.

"Go." He urged, pushing her weakly away. "Comebacklater." He knew she wouldn't just leave him to waste away or die here but he didn't want her to get caught. If she left know she would be safer. He pushed her away from the sounds of someone coming and straightened, trying to shield her from view.

"Tomlin no im not going to leave you" she said as a whisper. SHe knew he wasnt strong enought to stand without her at the moment. She pulled them into as small gap and held him close to her as the emeny unlocked the door and light came into the room, She hid them best she could.

He pushed her down, making her crouch then covered his mouth. He couldn't help the cough forcing its way up his throat but he didn't want to give her away. So when they weren't looking he edged out of their hiding place and made it to the door. He had gotten lucky, the guards weren't looking at the door of the room when he exited and he made it into the hallway before the cough finally made it out of his mouth. Once he started he couldn't stop, he doubled over and coughed up blood. By now the guards had seen him and were rushing forward with their new weapons. The ones which had previously been tested on him.

She followed him helping to get out the door when he thought it was safe. They were going to make it until he let go of her and dropped to the ground and started cough, when the blood came up she bent down, "tomlin" she said worried and kinda scared, she knew they were coming so she stood up and pulled out her sword on them turning to face them and she stood defening him. Her hood still pushed back to she her face angry but conrtolled as she prepared to defend her other half.

Tomlin cursed in between his coughs. When they had subsided he wiped the blood from his mouth and stood shakily. Even so weak he could still take out a few of them weapons or no. A dozen guards rushed at them and adrenaline spiked through his veins, pushing the pain away. He moved forward and slammed his palm into the first guard's chin, the force of the blow breaking the man's neck.

She took in what he was doing as se rushed to help him. She paired with one of the guards before cutting his throat then moving onto cover tomlin so they weren't going for him. She couldn't sand to see him and more hurt then he already was." Tomlin get out of here"she yelled at him as she tried to fend them off.

Tomlin payed her no mind, taking out the guards with the most painful and deadly weapons first. He snatched one up and fired it at the others, imbedding shrapnel in two guards' stomachs. He was beginning to feel optimistic when reinforcements came. Any hopes he had dared to have were quickly dashed when they fanned out and pointed long, sparking sticks at them. "Get down!" He shouted at Jewel, tackling her just as a bolt of electricity flew over their heads.

Jewels head smached into the ground with a hard bang. Her eyes wide as a bolt went over their heads. She looked up and frowned. There was no way they were going to get out if this now. She sat up and dropped her sword to the ground in defete. She hoped that by her giving up they would let tomlin go but little did she know it wasn't that easy for them both.

"What are you doing?!" Tomlin hissed. He sprung to his feet but swayed while doing so. His adrenaline was gone and he felt the pain seeping back into him. A guard behind him prodded him with his stick and Tomlin didn't have time to dodge. He convulsed and crumpled to the ground, his eyes rolling back in his head. After a moment he stopped though he was now unconscious.

"Tomlin"she screamed as he fell to the ground in front of her. She picked her sword back up and killed the man that had knocked her tomlin out. It wasnt long before they had her sounded and she looked down and fell to her own knees holding tomlin to her chest as they took her sword and forced her to her feet pulling him away from her.

Tomlin was taken back to his cell, still unconscious. This time though they tightened his chains considerably and added one around his neck so he was chained like a dog to the wall. He groaned and his eyelids fluttered as he woke up. When he remembered what had happened he became strangely calm. Inside his emotions were turbulent and raged but on the outside he exuded nothing but calm as he devised a way to get Jewel out as soon as he could manage.

Jewel saw chained to the other side of his cell. They had hit her a few times so there was a bit of blood dripping down her fae. She had her head hung, great this was a stupid idea she thought as he looked up to see tomlin waking up." Tomlin"she said softly watching him, her face softened as she saw he was mostly ok for now at least.

"Why didn't you leave Jewel?" He asked just as softly, wary of anyone who might be listening in on their conversation. After an escape attempt though he couldn't imagine that there wasn't anyone listening to them though.

She looked down to her feet chained at least un like him she was able to sit down if he wished in her chain."I couldn't leave you behind"she said softly. He couldn't even think of herself turning back up without him even with the promise she had made to And. She couldn't bare to leave him know what was going on

"You would've come back with a better plan and information about them." He said, wanting her to see why she should have left so that if the opportunity presented itself to her again she would take it.

"I couldn't leave you behind"she yelled at him looking up." What don't you get about that, yes I know it's not the smartest thing but I couldn't alright" she said as she looked up at him tears in her eyes as she sat down and looked away from him feeling guilty. This could of doomed them both now." If the thing was switched around, could you leave me?" She asked softly.

He ground his jaw in frustration. They both knew the answer to that. His good eye closed. "Get some sleep. Tomorrow is going to be tough." He said, leaning against the wall. He hated the new chain and it would complicate things considerably but he knew he needed to get them both away before something terrible happened to her.

"I haven't had really sleep since in ages, and I thought rose kept me up" she joked but badly. She leaned against the wall looking over at him chained like a dog. It hurt her to see him this way but there was nothing she could really do just yet. She sighed and closed her eyes but she knew sleep wouldn't find her at all tonight.

Tomlin slept, having had practice already. Sleeping at night in a place like this was necessary especially with what was in store for him the next day. He worried what they had in mind for Jewel but he couldn't ponder it if he wanted any strength left in his body for what was to be his worst say yet. His worst nightmare had come true, Jewel was there to endure his torture with him. He would definitely need strength for that.

(I'm off for the night. I had a busy day and now I'm exhausted -_- ZzZz...)

Jewel like she thought didnt sleep at all that night at all. She sat down her eyes closed some of the time, others watching tomlin sleep. She thought of different things as she sat there throughout the night. She didnt like what was to come for her and tomlin but mostly she worried that she would never see rose again. and would take care of her for her that was all she could hope for right now.

He woke the next morning, before the guards came for either of them yet. He saw that Jewel was awake and he sagged a little he had hoped she would get some sleep, even if it was only a little but by the look of the dark circles under her eyes he doubted she did. He wanted to say something but could think of nothing so he stayed silent. The guards came for him and unlocked his chains slowly, only to handcuff him and shackle his legs so he couldn't run. They also attached his new chains to a collar around his neck. He showed no emotion as they shuffled him out of the cell and to the testing rooms.

Jewel watched him as he looked at her, no words were said between them though as they stood ready to face the new day. It had been a very long night for her but she was the tiniest but gals that they were both still alive even like this. As they came in to get him she stood up watching as one took him away. Another came over to her and pinned her to the wall." Come on princess lets go watch this shall we"he said in a dark voice as he cuffed her behind her head and grabbed the chains pulling her towards where they had taken tomlin. She walked ino the lit room and cursed at all the weapons around them that they must be using on tomlin. She looked over at him as they chained her to a chair so she had a perfect view of him.

They were particularly hard on him today, probably because Jewel was watching. He was already bleeding in new places and his nose was broken by the time they broke for lunch. He had stayed silent the best he could, dodging when he could manage to. Even so he screamed a couple of times and barely evaded a projectile which had threatened to sever his jugular vein. He was slumped forward in the chair he was chained to when they came back. The leader, a portly man Tomlin had come to hate with a passion grabbed his hair and lifted his head savagely. "Who's she?" He demanded, jerking his head at Jewel who was sitting and looking at him through the glass. Relief poured through Tomlin. They didn't know who she was. "She's no one. Just someone they sent to break me out." He croaked, hoping that if they didn't know who she was they wouldn't be quite as cruel. He hadn't seen any women around and he was scared that they would rape Jewel. So far it hadn't come to that but why push them in that direction?

Jewel wasn't aloud to look away from tomlin every time they hurt him. A man stood behind her forcing her to watch. He hated it, they were so cruel to him. She couldn't bare this, her other half she had never heard him scream before this day. When the men came back in after lunch she watched as they asked them who she was. He didnt want to tell them the truth, it was the smart idea but it still hurt her for him to say that. She didnt even notice when someone had drew blood on her arm as she was forced to watch tomlin.

The fat man punched Tomlin in the jaw and his head snapped to the side. "Don't lie." He hissed. "We saw the wedding ring before you passed it off." Tomlin thought fast. "Her name is Andromeda." He said with theatrical reluctance but they seemed to believe him. "She's a healer back at our base." The man let Tomlin's head fall and gestured for them to continue their tests.

Jewel swallowed. She wasnt And, what if they asked her to try heal like And did she didn't know enough to even pass as a healer. She thanked the gods that she didnt wear her ring on her finger when she went into fights, she wore it around a chain that hung low down her neck. She prayed they didn't look cause then his lie would be given up since their rings had been made to be the exact same. She looked over at him as another man came in to where she was and cut a line down her arm, she couldn't even think about it.

After the next round of tests Tomlin felt like a boneless pile of jelly chained to his chair. He had actually managed to work his hands free but kept them behind his back, hoping they wouldn't check. It almost killed him, literally not to move his hands to block the last round of weapons but he didn't want to play his hand too quickly. He was bleeding in several new places while old cuts and gashes which had never even stopped bleeding continued. The portly man was back in front of him, holding his head up by the hair. "So if she's not your woman you wouldn't mind the men taking her for a spin?" He sneered. Tomlin's only answer was so spit in his face. The fat man's face contorted in rage and he kicked Tomlin's shin hard enough that he would have been knocked over in any other chair. The one he was in though was bolted to the floor. Tomlin fingered the small explosive in his hand, knowing he needed to coax the man closer somehow. It was hard to think though with the animalistic rage which boiled under his skin at the thought of such pigs touching his Jewel.

Her eyes widened as they talked about rapping her. No she wouldn't aloud it only tomlin was aloud to touch her in that way. She looked at him frightened, she had never been with anyone but tomlin and he was always so caring she doubted any other man would be. Blood dripped down her arms as they stuck a knife into her arm and coming out the other side. She screamed out in pain as she thrashed in the chair.

"Lean closer I want to tell you something." Tomlin said, his rage fighting to get out. He almost lost it when Jewel screamed but held himself in check. Barely. The fat man humored him, thinking that he was still completely chained up. His arms went around the fat man, finding all the pressure points and immobilizing him. He held the explosive next to the man's face. "Tell them to get away from her and unlock my chains." He growled.
