Trisha wrote: "oh, thx Jacquelyn, for making the threads!!"You're welcome! And oh my gosh! I forgot to make the Revolution one! D: I will do it right now!
Oh!! This series is so good! I'll join in the discussion with you! If you guys get to
then I'll read with you!! :)Vicki! I'm curious to see your thoughts on this one, seeing as how you're a English teacher and all! I loved reading
with you guys!! :)
Kathy, if you look at my bookshelf you'll see I've been "reading" this book forever. I loved book 1 but I got sidetracked when reading this one and never finished it. There's my "insight!" Lol
Sorry Vicki, I misspoke. I meant that I really liked your input on what you did read with us on Romeo Redeemed, with you being an english teacher I liked your comments because I got a better insight as to how the original went...I have never read it, but have seen the movie a few times. I haven't ever read Homer or Shakespeare or anything that old, that kind of writing. Anyway I was just saying that I'm looking forward to your thoughts on this one too! :)I liked Trisha's comments too though! lol! :D

I need about a month to finish up all my old stuff and ARC books, then I can lose my guilt! LOL

I have 2 ARCs to start and finish and one of them is book #2 in a series! I also have a few of books to read that are on an awards list here in Missouri where I live and most of the girls I work with at my library branch are reading them. Not to mention all the challenges I have started! lol! So don't feel bad, you aren't the only one! :)
Vicki wrote: "Wait, Vicki, you are an English teacher, too?"Oh boy! Don't tell me you are both named Vicki and are both English teachers and both love to read and both are in this group and are both participating in this buddy read?!
Vicki wrote: "Yay!!!! Two Vicki's in one buddy read! Welcome Vicki!! :) Hope our other buddies don't get confused. We should connive and use the same profile pic!! Lol"Lol... I have never changed my profile pic for the 6 years I have been on here. But wow... that might cause a mess in here :)
Yeah, it would be funny to mess with people but I don't have the heart. I got confused when my own daughter changed her profile pic! Lol

I teach high school English. I teach grades 9 and 12 this year. And well yes, to the rest too :)
Vicki wrote: "Wait, Vicki, you are an English teacher, too?"Haha! Now this is too funny! I also teach English to freshmen (4 sections this year), and I teach yearbook, too. I taught multicultural literature to seniors for four years, but I haven't taught that for two years now. What a small world this is! :o)

How funny, huh? I guess you'll just have to deal with these English book nerds, but I know you are into writing, reading, and yearbook, too, Jacquelyn. This should be a blast! (Now I have to watch my grammar and punctuation! LOL)

This is my 9th year teaching, of that, I have taught mostly 9th grade 8 of the 9 years. This year, I have 2 sections of 9 and 3 of 12. Twelve is British Lit, but we are doing away with designations, allowing us to expand a bit. I have also taught 10 for one year and a few sections of 11 here and there.
t's not released yet where I live so I have to order it !If I can get a copy on time i'll join you :)
If everything slows down by this date and I am not as into contemporary as I am now I will stay in this BR! If not, I will have to drop out and come back when I do get around to it!

Hope things clear up for you :)
I'm starting it now! Can't wait to see how it is. (: I do have to say though, after reading Slammed, my expectations are really high haha.
@Vicki, I just saw your post from a month ago. Lol It sounds like you have your hands full, too. I've never taught British lit, but I always enjoyed it in college.I must say, and I'm happy to report, that my classes this year are really good! I don't go home frustrated all the time! Thank God for a year of reprieve! Lol
