So how did I get myself into this situation, you ask? Simple: desperation. When you're faced with being homeless and hungry or taking off your clothes for money, the choice is easier than you'd imagine. That doesn't make it easy, though. Oh no. I hate it, in fact. There's nothing I'd like more than to quit and never go into another bar again, never hear the techno beat pulsing in my ears again, never feel the lecherous gazes of horny men again.

Then, one day, I meet a man. He's in my club, front and center. He watches me do my routine, and his gaze is full of hunger. Not the kind of desire I'm used to though. It's something different. Something hotter, deeper, and more possessive. I know who he is; of course I do. Everyone knows who Dawson Kellor is. He's People Magazine's Sexiest Man alive. He's the hottest actor in Hollywood. He's the man hand-picked for the role of Rhett Butler in the long-awaited remake of Gone With the Wind.

He's the kind of man who can have any woman in the entire world with a mere crook of his finger. So what's he doing looking at me like he has to have me? And how do I resist him when he looks at me with those intoxicating, changeable, quicksilver eyes?

I'm a virgin, and he's an American icon of male sexuality. I'm a stripper, and he's a man used to getting anything and everything he wants. And he wants me. I know I should say no, I know he's the worst kind of player…but what my mind knows, my body and my heart may not.

And then things get complicated.

I have high expectation in this one :) my first Jasinda Wilder book, Falling For You didn't as much as I expected, though I still enjoyed and liked it.

I just took a sneak peak and kind of surprised with how young Grey, the main character, is. Somehow I thought she is not younger than 20 years old but apparently I was wrong.

Yeah, I think so. It's one of the reason I want to read it, though. I mean I'm kind of curious how come a stripper can still be a virgin. Not that I have problem with it but as you said it seems farfetched. So, it picks my interest :)

Greta, I want to know whether or not Grey is a popular name in US. I never heard of it before (Christian Grey is my only know Grey but it's last name not first name like in this book). I tend to pay attention to characters name, if they sound weird or sounds made up by the author just so her/his characters sounds cool or the author doesn't provide a reason behind their name, it bothers me and have problem to connect to them. I think a lot of YA/NA have an unusual character name these days. Sometimes it works for me, but most of the time doesn't. Now, I feel it's hard to believe Grey.

I know she said she didn't have time to check the cast list but really? (hide spoiler)]. And how come (view spoiler)[ there weren't paparazzi who keep spy on Dawson when he is one of A list Hollywood actor (hide spoiler)] ? boy....I'm not even half of the story yet already got 3 unbelievable things *sigh*

And Grey is so annoyingly stubborn! Ugh.

Add it with the way she keeps saying she hate her job but have to do it. I'm bored with her whine, I know and understand her reluctant attitude but it doesn't mean she has to tell me again and again and again. One times in the beginning is enough, I get the gist, thank you.....

Finished it and I didn't like it. There are so many unbelievable moments and it was so hard to like Grey. She's a whiny, moody, keep running away instead of talking about her problems and try to fix it.

I'm not a fan of Grey either.. That's too bad.. But I love ( and want ) Dawson! So, I still have to decide how many stars I'll give. :)

I have to say I didn't feel anything for the characters, I couldn't feel anything. I guess it because I can't connect to them and their story. I ended up roll my eyes, rub my temple, skip the pages so many times :)

Yes! He is swoon-drool worthy! :) Like my Christian Grey minus the BDSM! Lol. :p

Okay, I started it. I'm not bonding with Grey though, I'm getting a I'm-physically-perfect-and-good-at-a-lot-of-stuff-but-have-a-lot-of-family-drama-so-that's-okay kind of vibe...which is not my favorite...
How are you guys finding it?

I'm only about 10 % but find Grey annoying and hard to connect to so far. And for the same reason you pointed out.

I hope the vibe changes once I meet the hero.

I've finished, too. I didn't really like. Grey didn't convince me as a character, but Dawson wasn't that bad. Grey didn't have any friends, the characters were basically just Dawson and Grey, sometimes a good secondary character works miracles, but there was none worth mentioning...

I thought about that when I was writing my review... It was then that I realized that (view spoiler)[ her career and even the rest of her college was overlooked. It all felt too rushed and too perfect, you know? (hide spoiler)]

I know. (view spoiler)[ the main care was always getting to Dawson, so until then we had a little bit of her career and college life, from the moment Dawson appeared everything else seemed to not matter anymore. It was them, all the time, drama all the time I should say. (hide spoiler)]

If you thought that was dramatic, you should steer clear of Crush, Crash and Clash (if you haven't read them already) :p

I haven't, but I'll keep that in mind :) Is the story similar to this one? Too much drama is no fun.

Hmm, then I'll definitely stay clear of that, at least for now. I can only deal with a certain amount of drama in a certain period of time, and I've reached my monthly limit :)
