Lily walked through the street of the city. She had snuck out of the house, sick of being trapped there wondering when she was gonna be caught. She worried everyday that she'd be taken from her parents. But today she decided she want to see the outside world for once. Of course it wasn't what she thought, but she didn't really know how she imagined it, just not like this.
Toni fell from his seat and landed in a dumpster, he'd been sitting on a window sill munching on a pie he'd found on the sill when he heard the door to that apartment being unlocked, he's dropped down before he'd been seen, and luckily for him his new pie was safely tucked away to protect it from the fall
Lily automatically whipped around at the loud sound. She was extremely paranoid and starting to wonder if sneaking out had been a bad idea. If anyone found her she'd be in huge trouble. She'd probably be sent to the breeding place which was the last thing she wanted. Her hands hand automatically clutched into fists at the sound ready to fight if she had to.
Toni stumbled out of the dumpster laughing, "well that was fun" he said dusting himself off, he'd come out of that with a whole pie and only one bruise, he was in such a good mood he didn't even notice the girl in front of him, 'I should probably try that more often' he thought looking up at the window
Lily was shocked and was sure it showed on her face. She had not expecting to see a boy climbing out of a dumpster when she turned around. "How is dumpster diving fun?"She questioned tilting her head to the side studying him. He looked about her age maybe a little older. He also looked like he probably lived on the streets, which was surprising actually, but what did she know. She had spent the past 16 years in her house.
Toni heard the voice and jumped a little, "oh sorry, didn't see you there" he laughed, still happy with his prize, "and I suppose it shouldn't be, but then again everything that's dangerous is usually fun"
She rolled her eyes at that. "Obviously."She stated. "I guess it is I wouldn't really know."She shrugged. She had never done anything remotely dangerous because she'd never been aloud. Of course you could argue her being outside of her home was dangerous enough.
Toni glanced up at the window again and took another bite of his new pie, "well.. I vote we move" he said walking down another street, he didn't really want the person in the window to catch him, but he noticed the girl wasn't behind him so he stuck his head back around the corner to look at her, "you coming?"
Lily didn't move. Why would she follow him? She didn't know him so therefore she didn't trust him. She looked at him wearily wondering if following was really the best thing or if she should just run in the opposite direction. Glancing up at the same window he did she tensed when she saw the person. She ran over to him, "Yeah let's just go."
Toni laughed as she came around the corner, and ducked back around with her, "that lady makes good pies" he said with a smile as he took another bite, he started walking down the street and looked at the girl again, "so you new around here?"
She just looked at him. She didn't trust him and planned on ditching him at the best possible moment and going home back to the safety of her house and her parents. Coming out here had been a bad idea. All it took was for her to be caught by the wrong person and her 16 years of hiding would be for nothing. "I guess."She answered, she wasn't exactly new, but she'd never been outside of her home though either until now.
Toni grinned and took another bite of his pie, he looked her over and thought something was a little strange about her, but she didn't act like she owned every thing and every one, and best of all, she was cautious "I like you, but no need to worry, I have no interest in causing you any trouble, I just didn't want you to get blamed for something I did" he said thinking about the pie
She looked at him. "You mean the pie you stole from that women."She stated. "I'd have bigger problems if she saw me than just some stupid stolen pie."She told him before she resumed looking around. Her eyes trailed everywhere looking for anyone in-case she had to either run or hide. She would not let herself be caught, she refused, she was happy with the life she led now and nothing was going to mess that up for her.
Toni looked at her with a raised eyebrow, he wondered what she could have to worry about, she didn't look like any big time criminal, nor did she strike him as much of a thief or such like him, "so.." he said taking another bite, "why're you so worried, another escapee from the breeding facility?"
She laughed, but it was more of a bitter laugh than a carefree fun laugh. "You could say that."She responded, of course escapee wasn't the right word. She hadn't escaped from there just escaped their notice. No one except her parents even knew she existed. Well no one but her parents and now this guy who apparently liked to steal things. Great! she thought sarcastically, maybe not only will I be caught, but caught as a thief too!
Toni gave her a sly smile, "you're a pretty smart girl, it's good to keep things to yourself, important secrets and whatnot, but all I need to know is if you're coming with me, which you seem to be, and if that's the case, then if I can trust you or not" he said casually taking another bite of his pie, he didn't really case about her past, but he didn't want everyone knowing where he lived
She stopped walking and looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Well that depends on if I can trust you" She told him. Of course she wouldn't fully trust him no matter what he said. Trust was earned, she couldn't just magically hand it over and well she didn't really trust anyone, but her parents. She just wasn't a trusting person and if it turned out she couldn't trust him not to tell a soul about her, well then she'd be screwed. "And yeah you can trust me as long as you don't stab me in the back or something."She replied and kept walking.
Toni chuckled a little and walked with her around another corner, "of course you can't trust me, I'm a thief" he said with another bite of the pie, "but I wouldn't worry too much, I don't have my knife with me, but back to you... lets see, you're not from the breeding facility and I can't see you as a rebel, so your parents kept you was it?" he asked not seeing her as a street rat, 'no, she was too well dressed for that' he thought
She rolled her eyes at his comment. "Not really what I mean for the whole trust factor and I don't trust you and probably never will."She told him, "trust is earned. Can't just magically hand if over. Oh and if you steal or try and steal is more like it, but if you try and steal anything of mine I will kick your ass."She told him completely serious, she knew how to fight and knew how to hold her own. Yeah the only person she fought with was her dad, but her dad had always known how to fight and had taught her everything she knew.
Toni laughed at the threat, "my dear lady, if I wished to steal something from you, you wouldn't even know it was gone, also I'm not interested in earning your trust, I have no need of someone who has been given everything" he said assuming his hypothesis was correct, "I was merely curious because I'd never seen you in the streets before" he said casually taking another bite of his pie
She snorted at his words, "First things first I am not a lady, secondly how would I not know. I know exactly everything I have with me at this very second so I would notice if it just disappeared and no one in this world has been given everything dude. Its not possible, not anymore. Yeah I don't have to steal from people to live like you seem to, but this is my first time ever even seeing the outside of my own home let alone being outside, that's not everything, people use to be given everything before all this shit happened."She responded, she didn't know why she said anything she just had its not like it was her business, but sometimes her temper got the best of her and she said things she hadn't meant to say.
Toni simply smiled with an eye brow raised, "so you've been living your whole life inside a nice cozy house, must have been hell, don't tell me you had a loving mother and father too,ohh I couldn't imagine the suffering you've been through" he took another bite of his pie and stopped just before they were about to round another corner, "now it's up to you to follow me any further, but I'm heading to my luxurious mansion just around this corner, you might not trust me, I don't really care, but I know I can trust you as much as I need to" he took a final pie of the pie and tossed the pie dish into a garbage can, then walked around the corner...((I was thinking of heading to Toni's Den, did you want to continue there or somewhere else?))
She shrugged. "I may have been living there, but I spent most of my time in a cellar so not exactly what I'd call luxurious."She said absently, she was too distracted by listening to his thoughts to real listen to what he was actually say. At the words luxurious mansion she snapped back to attention. "What?"She asked having no idea what he'd just said of course she just did I quick read of his mind to figure that one out and rolled her eyes at what she found, "Yeah and I have talking goldfish."She said sarcastically to his comment about where he "lived." She thought about weather she should follow him and decided to only because she'd already read his mind and well he didn't care about her one way or the other which was a good thing. It meant he had no reason to turn her into the breeding facility authorities.((Yeah we can go there you post first!))
Emily looked at their hands and smiled "yeah" she looked up at him and smiled
Caleb cleared his throat again and took his hand back and ran it threw his hair, "so, umm.. is there anywhere you need to go before I bring you home?" he asked, wondering if she needed to pick up dippers or anything for Walter.
Emily blushed and thought for a minute "yeah, we are almost out of milk and diapers, the most important things in the house" she smiled at him
He nodded, "want me to drive you to the store and I'll wait here wile you go get them?" he offered.
Emily nodded "if you have time" she smiled slightly at him then looked at Walter and smiled
Amaryllis smiled as she looked back the kids sleeping soundly with their ice cream covered faces.
Amaryllis grinned. "I love them... Jake will take care of espy and espy will take care of him and then Emily will watch them all..."
Tom smiled, happy she didn't blame herself for how Espy and Jake were, "they'll stick up for each other, that's what families do."
"That's a good thing..." She nodded. She kissed his hand
Amaryis nodded. "Yes..." She sighed
"Yes... I just feel..." She made a face "oh god! Pull over!" She yelled
She unbuckled and jumped out and puked..
She gasped pulling up her hair and puked again.
Amaryllis gasped and sat on the side walk gasping. She wiped her mouth and made a face at the taste
Amaryllis took breaths and slide back in the car. "Yeah..."
"I form know anymore..." She closed her eyes.
