Layla walked through the dark castle, shuddering at the dark décor. She wished that she hadn't accepted the errand, but it wasn't exactly like she could say no. She sighed to herself, and continued in the direction that she thought the throne room was.
((back :) )) Layla entered the throne room at last. She cautiously eyed the guttering candles and heavy drapes. She turned her gaze to the dark king, the one that the winter queen has been so eager to contact. He was good looking, Layla admitted.
Layla smirked as she executed a deep curtsey. "As much fun as that would be, your majesty, I do have a purpose. I have a message from the Queen of Winter." she said, looking him over with interest. He was definitely good looking; she ran a hand through her hair.
"You're right on that, your majesty. I'm a summer girl." she pouted prettily. "You don't care for any of the other courts? That's disappointing; you'll hurt my king and queen's feelings."
Layla smiled, scrunching her nose lightly. "I'm not avoiding anything, your majesty. And you can hardly blame me for finding you distracting." She said, toying with the charms on her necklace.
Layla smirked as the king came closer. "No need, your majesty. The winter queen said to "tell my sweet friend the dark king that war is coming."" Layla quoted, grinning as she finished; she was happy that she had remembered the entire message.
Layla's smile fell; his sudden switch in behavior made her nervous. "She didn't say anything other than that." she said, backing up a step. "and since you're no friend to winter, I'm assuming the same goes for summer?"
Layla tried to smile; her hands were still shaking. She had heard rumors of the dark king's rapidly changing moods, but she had never believed them. Now she was watching one. She clutched her necklace, holding tightly to the one her father had given her. "Well...that's a relief."
"I'm sorry for wasting your time, your majesty." Layla said, dipping into a quick curtsy. "You obviously have more pressing matters to attend to. Thank you for your time." Layla said, nervously tugging on her necklace.
Layla bit her lip. His hand was pleasing cool, not nearly as cold as the winter fey. She didn't know what to do. If she left now, she would risk angering the dark king and endangering the relationship between the courts. But she wasn't sure if she wanted to stay; the king was obviously angry. But he had seemed kind enough.
Layla let out a sigh when he touched her face. She liked this king; her own king could be a bit reckless, and she had never met the winter king. She nodded once, slowly meeting his eyes. "Yes. I'll stay. But only for a little bit." she hoped that her friends wouldn't notice her absence. ((I've g2g :( rp tomorrow?))
"My pleasure, your highness." she winked. Layla wondered what she should do. She had liked Cale, but the dark king was very good looking; she knew his reputation, but that really didn't bother her. She was up for a little fun, but when the time came, she would eventually have to settle down in her own court. She grinned at him, flipping her hair.
Layla found herself smiling back at him. "And you're quite good looking." she said playfully, wrapping her arms around his neck lightly. She wasn't going to lie; she thought that the change in eye color was attractive. But she wasn't sure what it meant.
"I don't know your majesty." Layla whispered playfully, slowly running her fingers through his dark hair. Biting her lip, she studied his face slowly, trailing her fingers over his forehead, nose, and cheeks.
Layla's eyes widened in surprise, but, to her credit, she didn't jump. Instead, she leaned forward, threading her fingers through his hair. When the kiss ended, she replied, "Yes, I do." She said, lightly tracing his face.
Layla sighed as she watche him walk to the throne. But when e turned to face him, she found herself torn. "Well," sh started, slowly running a hand through her hair. "I do have something." she sighed. "It's not that important, though." she said, peering at him from under her lashes.
"Of course your majesty." Layla understood perfectly. She was disappointed, but there was nothing she could do about it. She smiled and offered a quick curtsy. "It was an honor to meet you your highness." she said. "See you around." With that, she turned, and walked out the arched entryway.
Dawn followed Layla into the dark court skipping. She'd been right about how dark it was and all the fog, but it was the dark court after all. Yeah if she was being honest the summer court would always be her place, but she loved exploring and just seeing the other courts.
Layla followed behind, a little slower. Her stomach was twisting in knots. She was ecstatic to see the king again, but not so eager to see the queen.
Layla shot Dawn a look as she finished her curtsey. The queen was still here and he looked less than thrilled. Layla hoped that Dawn could come up with a reasonable excuse as to why they were there. She nervously wrapped her chain of her necklace around her hand.
Layla gulped lightly, and clutched the sun charm in her palm. "I'm not here about that, your majesty." she managed to whisper, staring at the floor in front of her feet. Why had she let Dawn talk her into this in the first place?
Was it bad that she was amused by Layla's discomfort? Probably. She had to stop herself form laughing or giving any indication that what the queen said to Layla was funny in her opinion. Instead she probably seemed more emotionless than anything with her being amazing at hiding her emotions and all though she did have a little over 200 years of practice. She also pretended not to notice the queens glare considering its not like she could do anything about it. ((sorry I had to figure out what i wanted for dinner and that took forever))
((lol it's fine))Layla glared at her from the corner of her eye. If they made it out of this alive, she was never agreeing to another one of her ideas. And she might put a little sand on her sandwich the next time they had a picnic.
Noticing Layla's glare Lily smiled innocently at her as if to say What? I didn't do anything On the inside she was laughing like crazy. This was so amusing to her for some reason. Maybe she just had a sick sense of humor, but she was beyond amused.
Layla's scowl deepened and she jerked her head towards the royals. "This was your idea." she hissed quietly. "Now you better have come up with a good excuse why we're here, since it was your idea." She smiled sweetly, but it didn't reach her eyes.
Dawn grinned. "That's exactly why she brought me here."She said shooting a smirk at Layla knowing she wouldn't like what she just said one bit but she was finding it hilarious. Yeah it wasn't true it was really her idea but that was the basic reason so it didn't really matter who's idea it was.
Layla glowered at her, and shooting her a look that promised revenge later, and said "She didn't believe me, your highness." she shrugged, like she couldn't believe her friend's doubt. "But I can see that we've interrupted you, so I think it's best that we leave."
"Well its not as if she gave me much to go on."Which was true she hardly told her anything which was the biggest reason why she wanted to come. If she couldn't get details then she wanted to see it for herself plain and simple. Dawn gave no indication that she heard Layla's words about leaving. She was waiting for a response before she took her leave.
Layla tugged in her arm impatiently. "What are you doing?" she hissed. "Are you trying to make the queen angry?" She just wanted to leave; not only was this completely humiliating, but Dawn had thrown her under the bus, to use the human phrase. "If you're not coming with me, I'm leaving you here." she threatened.
((sorry i haven't responded i was watching Vampire Diaries and the Originals but I think I should let Hannah post something before I do.))
((yeah it is he and damon are my favorite. I liked stefan better when he was the ripper! hehe i have issues))
"Of course, your majesty." Layla said, sinking into a deep curtesy. She seized Dawn's arm, and ignoring her protests, dragged her out of the throne room and back to the summer court.

William entered the castle. He wondered if his king or queen had any tasks for him to complete. He did not want to go into the throne room and interrupt them so he hovered outside.

It's exact location isn't known but is surrounded by mist and darkness, there is never sun. So to find the Dark Castle if your a visitor from another court you must follow where the sun doesn't shine, you'll find it. However if one is a Shadow faerie you summon the castle and it will appear before you eyes (while inside the Dark boundaries)
By coincidence travelling humans find themselves here, usually lost, they approach the castle but then finds themselves to be the Shadow Fey's dinner.
