I don't think he is a good choice I didn't like him in fired of Pompeii
I know!! I watched the live thing BBC was showing and when he walked out I was like, "This is NOT the Doctor. WHAT IS GOING ON??". Little by little though, all during the week after, I started loving him. I'd never seen him in anything, but I'm sure he'll be amazing. I've watched that first interview he did at least 8 times and looked him up on Wikipeida. He seems like such a cool dude! People rave about how great he is as an actor, too.I'm still going through the "MATT DONT LEAVE NO GAHHH sniveling mess on the floor feels what the heck this isn't happening" phase. I'm so sad that he's leaving!!! *ugly sobbing* But I think he chose the right time to go. If he would've outstayed his welcome nobody would have missed him. It's better this way.
Bottom line: I'm going to miss Matt more than anything, but I've accepted Peter as the Doctor and look forward to season 8.
I totally understand if other Whovians don't feel the same way. When Matt became the Doctor, everyone hated him, pretty much. Look how far we've come!
It takes time to get used to a new Doctor, we all know that, and that's okay. You don't have to love him right away or anything...just be sure to give him a chance and then let your opinion develop. ;)
Well I didn't like him in fires of Pompeii
His character will most definitely be different from the one he played in Fires of Pompeii. You may love him as the Doctor, but hate him as the guy in Fires. We've yet to find out! :D

Why would he do that? He's had his time, and then left to move on. We all loved David, but it's way past time to move on.@John: He's my second fav! Chris is my first, but Matt is almost as close to my heart. <3
