I just started reading this book and thought it would be nice to have a "virtual" book club so that I could discuss the book with other readers.

Anyone interested>

I read this book in 2010 and that changed my view about fnance. The simple way and the narratives helped me cement the understanding of an Assett or a Liability. This has helped me personally in generating my financial sources. So a personal benefit.

This book is quite simple to explain about finance.

Kiyosaki approach will shift our paradigm about money.

this book is just so beautiful

Easy to understand, and truly explains the value and opportunities in assets versus liabilities. A must read if you want change the way we think of our homes as assets.

Dad is always a dad, it's not a rich or poor. For every child his/she's dad always very rich and first hero of their life.

Wrong ideas on Assets/Liability given in the book. Just because I don't get rent by staying in my house makes it a liability? What about the value appreciation over the next few years when I can borrow against my house and create other more longer term assets like Life insurance? I can then borrow against the life insurance policy and pay off the house AND keep the money untouched in my policy. I have written on such possibility in my first book on CashFlow algorithm so ask me and I will give you a discount code to buy it.

Kiyosaki really tried in that book but following the tips in that book in this side of the world will leave you frustrated.

When I was reading, I didn't find this else I could get someone from here as study partner to discuss additional questions of book.

Yea this book is worth reading if you're new to finances. It really gave me motivation to pursue investing full time. Although you can't read take every word and use it in real life scenarios, you could use his word to build a strong foundation. In my opinion, this book isn't meant to make you ways nor does it show you how to become rich, but it is to motivate you and get you on the right track to riches by its promising foundation.

Rich Dad Poor Dad is a very innovative book about financial independence. It forces us to rethink about what we teach our children about money. The core message is we have to learn to make money work for us instead of working for money.

Renae,

What do you want to discuss?

I've read every book on finance in our small library and then some of the online ones. The best are still some of the older books like The Richest man in Babylon. Love that one then How I made a millions with 1000 in my spare time Its a real estate investing book. This is my last year of not living the financial freedoms I read about all the time.

This is my all-time favorite book. My absolute favorite part was the lesson he learned as a boy to look for opportunities all around him while he was working as a helper in the store. The part where he realized the comic book potential was priceless. I still use that lesson in everyday life... I am constantly looking for opportunities all around me.

I read half of it. I loved the beginning, but honestly it lost me from the middle toward the end.

I figure I may not have been ready for some of the information and got distracted because I do think it is a really good book with frank discussion around financials from the perspective of a hard-working wealthy man.

Rich Dad, Poor Dad is one of my all time favorites. I grew up in Hawaii so I can relate to the author.

It was the inspiration behind my book I just published:
