I go there occasionally, but not as much as I used to since they have fewer organic fruits/veggies than my local Fred Meyers. I do like TJ's though, I love the spicy lentil wraps (fridge section), and especially like some of their fozen foods - confetti rice, veggie "nests", fake chicken strips, and they have really good vegan ice cream. :-)

Katie Boyer (katieelaineboyer) | 3 comments yeah lots of good frozen food! Stuff I can take to work for lunch or eat at home for dinner, plus snacks & desserts.

I wish I lived near a Fred Meyers, I live in California though.

Desserts... yeah, they have some decent cookies too but I try to forget that when I am there. :-P

Katie (katie_jones) One of the best things I've EVER had there, or almost anywhere, is the Dark Chocolate Cherry non-dairy ice cream....it's delicious!

A couple of days ago I had some frozen things called "bird nests", made from onion, carrot, kale. You bake them in the oven - they are a little greasy so deserve being patted with paper towels first, but are really really tasty!

I'm sad, I can't find the "confetti rice" at Trader Joe's anymore. It was a rice flavored with lemongrass, onion, thai lime leaf, and ginger, and filled with little colorful bits like and spinach, tomato, and baby corn. :-(

Maybe it'll be back someday.
