1. Harry Potter seriesI know its completely unoriginal to put them on a favorites list, but I looooove love love them.
2. Anne of Green Gables series
Anne was my first book love, and she is certainly still up there with the best. I dare you not to love her (unless your name is Fiona and you are grouchy)
3. Graceling by Kristin Cashore
Katsa is a strong female character, and I love the journey her character gets to take (both mentally and physically) in this book. Its very addicting, and I couldn't put it down.
4. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Talk about addicting, I don't think I got out of my chair until I read this whole thing in one evening. I can't wait for the sequel, Catching Fire, in September.
5. I, Coriander by Sally Gardner
A cute fairy tale, VERY loosely based on Cinderella. The prince, however, has a very small role in this one. Coriander steals the show.
**EDIT***
5.1 A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly
Cause Fiona reminded me, I just read it too and LOVED it. I feel so close to Mattie, wish we could have been friends.
And, since I'm cheating anyway...
5.2 The Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder
Just read this yesterday and it hooked me right in. Yelena is a fabulous character, and I love assassins.
5.3 Daddy Long Legs by Jean Webster
A cute short little book of letters that a girl wrote to the man who was putting her through college. A very simple and sweet story.
Yes, this is a tough question... Mine aren't in any order, it changes depending on mood.
1. To Kill a Mockingbird- Haven't read it since high school, but it was great, probably one of the best books ever written.
2. Bridge to Terabithia- first book to teach me that books can be more than amusing stories.
3. Are you there God? It's me Margaret- read this one a zillion times (probably not overestimating, either) when I was in grade school
4. Bless the Beasts and Children- fairly intense book with many metaphors and symbols, every time I read it I see something different.
5. Hunger Games- I'll put this one on here. I was really taken with it and can't wait for the sequel.

I like how this has turned into Top 5.3 because we all love too many books. :) Clever. In no particular order...
1. Harry Potter series
Because...yeah.
2. Night World series by L.J. Smith
That shouldn't surprise anyone, since I talk this series up whenever I can. She created such a solid world, and such wonderful three-dimensional characters. These books were my constant companions during my teenage years.
3. The Alice McKinley series by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor
I learned so much from Alice. And when I used one of my dad's contacts to mail a letter to Ms. Naylor's house, she kindly replied on her personal stationary. I was so thrilled.
4. Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin
This is a beautiful book.
5. Are You There God? It's Me Margaret
I feel I have to put this on the list. I certainly read it enough times.
Thanks for changing it from top 5 to top 10, Allison - that makes it a little more do-able. So here are mine, in no particular order:The Giver
Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry
Where the Red Fern Grows
Anne of Green Gables
Christy
Chronicles of Narnia series
The Lord of the Rings trilogy
Little Women
To Kill a Mockingbird
And for something a little more contemporary:
The Uglies series
Some of these are books I just think everyone (or at least every girl for some of them) should read sometime in their life.

5.1, 5.2, 5.3...You're such a cheater!
(I love it)
And Alexis -- would you believe I've never read anything by Judy Blume? I take that back, I think I read part of Freckle Juice. Or maybe it was Superfudge. But never one of the classic girly books.
As for my own top, I'm going to have to think on this awhile...
Well, *jumping on the bandwagon*
1. Harry Potter, any and all, but I just love the first two best.
2. Anything by Joan Aiken
3. Wrinkle in Time series
4. The Secret Garden
5. Anything by Marguerite Henry
and I'm so far behind because I haven't read anything published after 1985! (that's when I moved to Italy and lost touch with the world of books in general, but especially YA!)

Linda Grace wrote: "Johnny Depp Movie!!"Exactly. One of my favorite movies when I was a kid. Do any of you watch Family Guy? If so, please tell me you saw the squirrel version of WEGG. Priceless!
I've seen all but the new season. Is it on the new one? That show is awesome! :)
Apparently I was wrong, it was American Dad. There are clips on youtube, but not the full story line.
