Inspired by Vollmanniac Stephen M, next week has been arbitrarily designated WTV Profile Pic Week. Either Sunday night or Monday morning (Oct 20, 21) change your pic to your favorite photo of Bill ; or an image from his literary or visual arts. Perhaps an image from Imperial.

For those innocent-minded, child-like protestors, a small bit of duct tape over his mouth would be appropriate.

Tech instructions :: upload your pic choice as a regular pic (not as a profile pic) and THEN click the "make profile pic" link :: this way you'll have a Like button and a Thread under your profile pic and we can Like it and tell the world about your wonderful taste.

I'm traveling this weekend so I'm going to do this right now. I found a fantastic Manuel Braun portrait for mine.

I decided to be an early adopter for the cause...

Technical glitch ;; some profile pics receive a Like button and some don't. Anyone want to help explain to me and others how to go about assuring oneself that one's profile pic has a Like button lying nearby so we can spread Bill-pics around the site like a virus?

Wait I was under the impression this wasn't starting until Sunday, to celebrate the publication of Dolores. But peeps be doin' it now? I can't take action without group approval!

You know me and my hard=ass scheduling I demand in the groups I moderate.... So, yeah, no but, whenever.... Arbitrary dates, though, are important for every organizing drive.

dang it, brian, you must have the wierdestly wired profile page on all of goodreads -- can you maybe give us a direct link to your Like'able profile pic, cuz clicking here on either your name or on that sexy Bill pic leads me to a page where that photo don't exist?

Normally I would fall in line with the rules, but with the anarchy being promulgated by the Butthurt Bullies Brigade, I'm doing my part to take down the system from within... or at least I think that's what they're trying to do... the strategy seems to change every few days... I'm so confused... won't someone please think of the children... where's my friggin' XANAX!!!!

I think if you directly change your profile photo it doesn't get a like button. But if you first add the photo using 'add more photos' button and then 'make profile photo' it retains the 'like' button.

Well, this anarchy thing is making me feel uneasy. If someone makes the schedule a rule, I'll follow like a good sheep - Baaa baaa, etc.

That's how I changed my photo and it posted with a "like" button.

thnks. 'swhat I expected too. So, first add photo, then make profile ;; rather than (right?) directly uploading a profile pic.

I really do. I have no idea how to remove myself from the author page...

Got 'em. But seriously, your two pages take me on some kind of circular journey every time I click on anything "Brian." Never know which one I'll end up on.

I didn't go billwise, but am fashioning my profile after the days when I read him, and hoping to do more of which soon.
