I don't see how the series could get anymore perfect. Everything for me was spot on and enjoyable. No complaints. I was going to buy Shawdowfever in hardcover but I'm a broke college student and paperback was all I could afford. After the Dani trilogy, I'll definitely spend serious money for hardcover on Mac and Barrons.

I wasn't sure what the Dani book was going to be like but let's just say it did not disappoint. Omg!! how long until the next one?
In the meantime, I have read "Fighting Desting by Amelia Hutchins (who is a huge KMM fan), it reminded me a lot of the Fever series and the hero definitely had a Barrons vibe going on. Be warned, it is hotter than the Fever books if you know what I mean ;)
Luna wrote: "Bianca wrote: "If you haven't read this astonishing series yet I just want to give you a bit of a heads up. I believe burned will be out soon, It should b released in early 2014 or late 2013 if you're lucky
Fighting Desting? I haven't come across it. I'll definitely check it out now thanks to you, I mean...a lead male with a Barrons-like vibe is enough to get me interested AND there's some steamy action going on, I'm there! Thanks Luna :)
Bianca: The next Dani book is supposed to have Mac & Barrons in it. They only made a passing appearance in Iced, but KMM has posted excerpts from the Burned on facebook that are from Mac's point of view. I can't wait!! And yes, the Fever Series completely sucks you in and just doesn't let go. I've read it multiple times and even ordered the audio versions so I could listen to it on my commute. The last couple are narrated by a male and a female, and actually getting to hear Barrons speak... *sigh* LOL
Also, if you really want to read Iced, you can buy it on Amazon used for just a few dollars. I didn't love that book, but it was still pretty good.
Luna: I just added Fighting Destiny to my TBR. It isn't a complete series yet so I'm going to wait until that last book comes out to start on it. I can't handle cliffhangers! LOL
This is by far the most amazing series I have ever read. I completely agree! I am a huge Karen Moning fan but this I didnt expect from her even with the Highlander series. I am also a huge Jeanine Frost fan, but I think even tho the books are in the same genre they are completely on two different levels. I do not know if you can compare them but I do believe that the fever series reigns supreme!

I'm so excited, I need my Mac and Marrons fix. Hmm, since there will be some Mac POV should I buy the hardcover? Urgh! I don't know. Most of the book will be in Dani's POV and...sigh. I'm debating right now.
Is the audio versions good? If I don't like the voice actors I can't do it. And my perception of how Barrons speaks, accent and all will be forever ruined. Not to mention Macs too. I wish I could hear a sneak peak.
Only a few? I usually buy all my books cheap on Amazon so maybe I'll love for a Iced hardcover for the price of a paperback. Duh, never even crossed my mind. Thanks hun :)

I was thinking of checking out Highlander since I love KMM so much but, I keep hearing it's not as good, the first couple books aren't written well and it only starts to get decent after a few books.
I suppose you're right about the books being on two different levels. On my list of favorite series though, Fever comes first. Even though I adore JF and she'll always come first for me, Cat and Bones every know and then began to loose some steam. Not their actual romance but the plot, like book 6 with Kramer for instance. Still love her though! Just as excited to read Up From the Grave.
Yes! I'm with you on this series. It sucks you in and will not let you go! Can't wait till the next Mac and Barrons book!
@Bianca - If you already have a pretty well imagined idea of what Barrons sounds like, I don't figure you will like the audiobooks. The first three books were narrated by a female only. She did a pretty good job for Mac... She overdid the southern accent a little (I'm a Mississippi girl so I can say that :) )The last two books were narrated by a different woman and it totally threw me for a loop. She did good, but sounded older than Mac and after I had gotten used to the original narrator, the new one didn't sound southern enough! LOL.
I didn't have many complaints with any of the narrators, they all did very well. I just loved that the last two were narrated by a male and female, not many audio books are like that.
Wonderful review, Bianca. Have you shared it w/ Karen? I think she would really like it :). And there are many maniacs who would agree w/ your assessment. Welcome to the Fever World!

2readmore wrote: "Yes! I'm with you on this series. It sucks you in and will not let you go! Can't wait till the next Mac and Barrons book!"I'm crazy addicted to the point that I can't stand it. I spent hours and hours staying up late reading page after page until I couldn't keep my eyes open.
Kim wrote: "@Bianca - If you already have a pretty well imagined idea of what Barrons sounds like, I don't figure you will like the audiobooks. The first three books were narrated by a female only. Being that she's from George you'd think so but for some reason it didn't fit for me. If I'm desperate enough and I have the cash who knows, maybe I will get the audio books. Might make me cringe though lol

I wouldn't say this is much of a professional review. I'm mostly ranting and fan-girling about how amazing the series is.
I've become a total maniac and now KMM is one of my favorite authors. I'm already anticipating what she'll come out with next after the fever series is complete. I don't care what it's about, I know I'll have interest.
I'm really hoping she'll do a Jeaniene Frost deal (side characters from her night huntress series having stand alone spin-offs set in the night huntress world) and create stand-alone books set in the Fever world based on Barrons 9 because I'd love to learn more about them. I think it'd be perfect, I would certainly buy them all lol
Luna wrote: "Kim wrote: "@Bianca - If you already have a pretty well imagined idea of what Barrons sounds like, I don't figure you will like the audiobooks. I tend to have a set way how I imagine characters voices and once I do it's set in stone. Anything else is cringe-worthy.

Welcome to the Fever World..."Can you send me a recommendation for this Night Huntress series you love? It sounds great :). I love Larissa Ione, & have read her Daemonica series & really enjoyed it (I've got "Reaver" pre-ordered when it was $4 on amazon).

I really hope you like the series as much as me :)
But what exactly is sending a recommendation? It's something on here isn't it? I've never done that before.
Have you read Lord of Deliverance? I'm interested in the Daemonica series by her and OMFG if it's the same Reaver from Eternal Rider I'm so going to read it.
Bianca wrote: "Jessica wrote: "Bianca wrote: "Jessica wrote: "Wonderful review, Bianca. Have you shared it w/ Karen? I think she would really like it :). And there are many maniacs who would agree w/ your assessm..."OMG! How are you reading Lord of Deliverance w/o reading the Daemonica books first?! Ok, I'm going to send you the rec for the 1st book in the series. All you have to do is go to the book and click on the recommend button. Yes, it is Reaver from the Lords of Deliverance, and in Ione's newsletter she said this is the most "reliant" book she's written to date. So you definitely need to read the other books to fully appreciate "Reaver". You meet him first in the Daemonica.
Jessica wrote: "Bianca wrote: "Jessica wrote: "Bianca wrote: "Jessica wrote: "Wonderful review, Bianca. Have you shared it w/ Karen? I think she would really like it :). Thank goodness you caught me only on Book 1 because I would have read the entire series and...well, now I know.
I'm going to read Daemonica first then continue on with LOD. I'll try the rec right now.
Great! I got the rec and it's on my list now and I'll definitely grab a copy! LoD is a great series, and it can stand on it's own, but I think you'll enjoy it a lot more w/ the back story of the Daemonica. The last one isn't my "favorite", but it introduces the LoD, and I'm super excited for "Reaver" which comes out Dec. 17th.
I was reading the synopsis to the first book of Daemonica and I started laughing because I got introduced to the two characters in it already. In LOD they already have a child I think, in fact I just read it. I even got introduced to the guys brother and the girl is Ariks sister I think.
Yup :). Bummer you know the "happy ending", but the stories are still good, and the sex still hot lol. There are 5 books in the series :).
Jessica wrote: "Yup :). Bummer you know the "happy ending", but the stories are still good, and the sex still hot lol. I can predict what will happen next to a character before they even know.
Another reason why I loved the Fever series, everything was a surprise for me :)
Luna wrote: "I listened to the first couple of books but the way the narrator did Barrons' voice just made me laugh and I couldn't take them seriously. I listen to a lot of audio books though so I've had to learn to look past a female doing male voices or a male trying to do female voices.
The last two Fever Books have a guy named Phil Gigante (or something like that) narrate all of the male voices and it is SO MUCH better! He does a really good job.
The Fever series is simply awesome, so well written, so complex, so imaginative, it is one of my favorite series for sure. Mac and Barron's have such chemistry. I read this series back to back and am I glad I did, if i'd have had to wait for the next book I believe I might have become a raving madman lol. It is bad enough waiting for Iced to come out in paperback. And I read Burned is about Mac and Barron's so I might just have to sell my souls and buy it in hardback :-)

I'm glad I was able to read them back to back as well, I wouldn't be able to do it. End up turning into one of those beasts Barrons and his 8 are haha. Burned I believe is still apart of Dani's Trilogy but their WILL be Mac and Barrons as well as some Mac POV which is another reason why I'm anticipating Burned before Iced lol
After I finished the Fever Series I had many reservations about what I would read next. I did some searching and found another series KMM had written. The Highlander Series. The first book started a bit slow but my intrest increased when I realised that the the two series were in the Fever World. So each book in the Highlander series is about a different couple, but they tend to go together (the second will relate to the first but the third wont relate to the first) The problem with that is by the end of the book I loved the characters and wanted more but knew there wouldn't be. She did put small updates on the couples in each sequel. When I realised that the last three books directly relate to the Fever series I got excited. Drustan from The Kiss of the Highlander and Dageus from The Dark Highlander are Christians uncles I had an aha moment. At the end of the Immortal Highlander the seelie Queen forshadows a need for all of them. So I believe the following books will merge both series. If you havn't already read them YOU MUST!! It has the added benefit of sating KMM withdrawl and giving insite into the next books.

But then the Fever series happened and it completely and utterly obliterated my list, shooting up to #1 in an instant...almost mocking me in Barrons-like fashion about how fast it grabbed me and took over my damn soul.
The Fever series WILL take over your life (and you'll like it) and destroy any book you decide to read after it. I just finished Shadowfever a couple days ago and I'm going through some serious withdraw symptoms. I can't read anything without thinking about how it pales in comparison to the Fever series. I can't help it, it's not like I do it on purpose, it's just, the series is THAT good. I'm trying so hard to enjoy Eternal Rider by Larissa Ione but it's not doing it for me. I read the rest of Primal Law by J.D Tyler a while ago when I was waiting for Dreamfever to come in the mail a month ago and it hit me how generic and bad Primal Law was. Sigh, I need Up From the Grave by JF to ease this killer fever I've developed due to KMM and her flawlessness.
Anyways, I haven't read the first book in Dani's trilogy yet because right now it's only released in Hardcore and there's NO WAY IN HELL I'm paying almost 20 bucks to read a feckin Dani book. Don't get me wrong, she's a okay character (I just don't think she really deserved her own stand alone trilogy) and I do like me some Roydan and Christian (Jericho Barrons is forever fighting for #1 in my Heart against Bones) but no, I'll wait.
I'll only pay for a pricey hardcover of a Mac and Barrons book. Karen didn't get me now but she'll definitely get me after the trilogy. I'll eat up anything Mac and Barrons for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
