Are there any motifs in the story?

In the book, the two main characters, Amanda and Leo, are on a mission to travel back in time 10 times , correct each mistake at each birthday party of Grace's, in order to save Grace. IN the past, Amanda and Leo had been best friends and shared the same birthday since they were born. WHen an incident occurred between them, they stopped talking to each other. However, on the their 11th birthday, the day kept repeating over and over for them. They had to figure out how to stop it, with the help of Angelina. Angelina is a mysterious woman, who knows many spells and curses. She caused/cured their situation. In Willow Falls, Angelina puts a spell on all the children when they are born. The spell protects the children from getting any bad illness or being in a harmful incident until they are 20 years old. However, 10 years ago when Grace was born, Angelina failed to complete the spell successfully; due to her older brother, Connor, banging on the windows and screaming. Connor is a friend of David, who is a close friend of Amanda and Leo. David is also one of the very few who knows Angelina and what she can do. 10 years later , at David's bar mitzvah, Grace stops talking and responding to anyone. She was rushed to the hospital, and she became paralyzed and stopped responding to anyone or anything. She was in a trance that no one could break her out of. This was excepted by Angelina, Leo, and Amanda. They knew something would go wrong on this day, but they had no clue this would be it. Angelina informs Leo and Amanda that they must travel back in time to each one of Grace's birthday parties to solve what went wrong. If they do not, Grace will remain in her own world forever. The motif is that they have to keep going back in time to solve each problem in Grace's birthday parties, which is a recurring event. "When you wake up tomorrow, it will be tomorrow, same as for everyone. But for the next ten days, you two will travel back to today, only a different year each time" .
