I must make some allies first. Draven had returned to the Administration Building. He was headed toward his office as he ponder his next actions. The dark energy could no longer be felt as he had composed himself back to his formal vampire self. He once again gave off an chilled feeling instead of the darker one. He had managed to force his mind to suppresses anything that had to do with Ilivarra, unless o course he was to come across her path again. Although he had plans to avoid her at all cost for the remaining of his stay here.
Jacob had decided to leave his apartment and go onto the campus proper. He had a lot to do to get ready for the semester. He frowned at the dark sky as he neared campus, running there in leopard form as he didn't own a car anymore. He had what looked like small saddle bags over his back. One had his clothes, the other some small books and other things for his office.
He ran right onto campus and into the administration building. He glanced up at the office doors as he passed them until he found the one marked with his own name. He ran around the man - both vampire and demon by the smell - standing in the hall outside his office and into the office proper. He ran around the door, shifted, closed the door and pulled on his clothes. Then he reopened the door.
"Sorry about that. Jacob Fullerton's the name. You would be?" He didn't bother putting his hand out to shake; he never shook hands with demons. Superstitious? Probably. But he never had shaken hands with one before and didn't plan on starting now.

Draven had caught the scent of an animal just as Jacob ran by him. Shifters are always known for their agility. Pity they are limited to their enhance senses.Stopping in the hallway to wait for the other to come back out-for he could hear Jacob putting on clothes, Draven questions whether he could befriend this being and make a pawn out of him.
When Jacob opened the door,Draven once again put on his charming sm le. He extended his hand out toward Jacob."Pleasure to me you Jacob Fullerton. I'm the professor of Dark magic here. You can say I'm walking around introducing myself ."He made a point to hide his fangs to show that he was being friendly.

"Professor of Dark Magic? You have a name, then? Not to be rude, but it helps if I have a name to put to a face," Jacob said with an easy smile. He didn't quite meet the other man's eyes; he knew enough about both demons and vampires to know that was a bad idea. He did his best to hide his fangs as well. The were-leopard ones were easy to hide; he'd been doing that his whole life. Vampiric fangs were less easy to deal with; those he'd only had for a bit over six years.
"Draven Stanwood"Draven returned his hand back to his pocket seeing that Jacob wasn't going to shake. Has Illy thought of everything here. It seems she has made sure her staff is well knowledgeable about many beings especially demons and vampires-how nice. O well Ill have to find my way around this small flaw. "My office is just down the hall so we're not very far from each other"
Why is his name familiar? I shouldn't know his name, should I? I think I'll have to ask someone I trust. There was only one person Jacob trusted who might know that name: one of his vampiric brothers, one who had been a vampire only a year or so longer than he had himself.
"Draven Stanwood? That name sounds familiar. I can't imagine why though," he said with a shrug. He nodded in response to Draven's mention of where his office was located. "I'll keep that in mind should anything come up." He briefly considered warning the man about the Hunter on campus, but decided he'd rather warn his daughter about the man standing before him. It might be the last thing he ever did, but he would warn her.

"O I'm sorry but I have never met you before so. I have no idea why my name is memorable to you"Draven took the opportunity to look Jacob over to size him up if he so happen to found a way to gain an alliance with him. He's mind is focus. He doesn't seem to be interested in a friendship with me"I guess I should get back to my office. Students to look over and all"
"Yes," Jacob agreed with a nod. "I should check on my own students." And figure out just what I'm going to teach them. I've only ever taught my daughters before. That is altogether different from teaching other people's children. Especially in large groups. The size of the classes was the thing that worried him most; he'd had no problem with teaching his two girls, but the classes here were likely to be much larger than two.
"I guess I'll see you around, then, Mr. Stanwood."
"I guess I'll see you around, then, Mr. Stanwood."
"I guess you will" The remark was meant to be friendly but the comment came off ominous. Draven nods his head to Jacob and he walks up the hallway. Ill have to deal with founding out a way to hook him later. The school's data files should have every application of every being here. If not than Ilivarra have them and Ill have to play our little game again in order to get what I want.
Jacob nodded and headed back into his office. He had a lot of work to do before classes started in a bit over a week. He hoped the previous professor had left something he could use as a guide to planning his lessons. He had very little experience as a teacher, so he needed all the help he could get.
He looked around the office and finally found a likely looking book in the top drawer of the desk. He opened it and began reading over the contents. It had some lessons outlined, but only for an introductory level class. He shrugged; that was better than nothing at least. He sat down at the desk and started on his own lesson plans.

Conall walked into the office. He was new here, just started this week, and need someone to help he adjust to things. He hasn't been in this universe for over two or maybe three weeks. "Hello?" He called out.
Jacob heard someone walk into his office, but thought nothing of it; it wasn't that demon fellow from earlier, so he wasn't terribly concerned. The man was a werewolf of some sort. He smelled like a werewolf at least. Mostly. Something was a bit off about his scent, but nothing he could pinpoint.
"Hey," he said, finally looking up from the lesson plans. "Can I help you with something?" He was being blunt, and maybe even rude, he knew, but he had been interrupted.

He looked around the room, wondering who this was and what he taught. More importantly, was he single? He shifted from foot to foot, his tail hanging loosely from his tight jeans.
((Five sentence minimum, dear. Rule #4. Please edit. Warning #1 [of 3]. <-- Need to add that to the rules... Meant to add it already.))
((Thank you.))
Jacob laughed. "You and me both. I've just started work here myself. My only real experience with teaching has been showing my two daughters the basics of water magic. Imagine my surprise when my application was actually accepted." He shook his head.
"I guess I got lucky. Whoever had this position before left behind a notebook with the lesson plans for an introductory class. I'm not sure what I'm going to do for the other levels of classes."
He noticed the man had a tail. That was odd, wasn't it? A werewolf having a tail in human form? Technically, he could do such a thing if he wanted to, but he didn't know why he would. "What subject do you teach?"

"Literature, back at my palace, we had an extensive library. I'd read when I wasn't......beding my servants. I'm not sure HOW to teach it, actually.....hehe. Not even sure if this world has those tomes.." He said, and looked down wide eyed. How could he teach if they did not have the books?!
Lura wrote: "((I thought he was going to be teaching literature?))"((FACEPALM wrong group. -.- I used him for two groups.))
((I hate when I do that.))
Jacob's nose twitched when he said the bit about 'bedding his servants' as he fought not to laugh. A spoiled aristocrat? No wonder he didn't know how to teach. "This world?" he whispered. Interesting. I'm not sure I've ever met anyone from an alternate world before. Assuming, of course, that he isn't lying. He doesn't smell like he's lying.
"Sounds like your first stop should be the library to see if it has those books. There should be books on educational theory there as well." Which is something I could use myself. Liv was always an eager student, but Lucy was not. It was a lot harder to teach her.

He noticed the nose twitch but thought nothing more of it. He nodded, "So...the Library is...where?" He asked. He was always getting lost down these halls. He felt like a damn fool. He wrote down the books he would be looking for on a piece of weathered parchment.
Jacob shrugged. "I... have no idea." He stood up and went towards a book case against the far wall. He picked something up off the shelf and took it back to his desk. "I saw this earlier. A map of the campus. This should help. I'm sure the library will be on here. We're in the Administration Building now, so..." He unfolded the map and traced a path with his finger from one building to the other.

"Ah, thank you!" Conall said. He looked at the map, memorizing ever bit of it. "So if I just walk west I'd be right there!" He bowed, thanking Jacob. "Thank you, Mr....what was your name?"
((I figured that was the case. ^_^ ))
"Fullerton. Jacob Fullerton. The name's on the door, actually," he said with a small smile. "You should have an office somewhere in this building as well. I imagine your name will be on the door of that one. You might want to look for it before heading to the library. At least then you'll know where to come back to," he explained with a shrug.
He debated asking the man his name, but didn't do so. He figured he'd tell him if he wanted him to know.

Conall nodded, "Well, I'll be going then. It as nice meeting you." He knew he was preventing Jacob from doing work, so he decided it was time for him to leave. He walked out, before closing the door. He debated whether or not to go find his office first or head to the library. After pondering for a while, he headed to the library.
"Well. That was strange," Jacob mumbled to himself once the other man left. I hope Liv isn't in any of his classes. Bedding the servants could easily become bedding his students. He went back to studying the lesson plans left by his predecessor. He'd start work on his own lesson plans shortly, using this one as a template of sorts.
Dan had been walking down the halls studying a particular paper he was holding, though he was carrying stacks of paper. He was concentrating on trying to translate the symbols and works on the paper and that alone, and he'd opened the wrong door. He glanced up as soon as he realized that things didn't feel right. His quick look rewarded him with finding out that he was indeed in the wrong room, which wasn't empty, and a nice look at his own reflection. He wasn't sure if it was in a mirror or just a window but it shocked him. His papers scattered across the floor as he immediately brought his hands to his eyes to avoid the reflections. His heart beat wildly in his chest and he completely forgot to apologize for intruding as he was busy attempting to control his breathing.
Jacob looked up as someone came through the door of his office. "You lost or something?" he asked the young man who seemed to be hyperventilating. He found his reaction odd, not to mention he wasn't entirely certain what the man was reacting to.
He finally stood up after a bit and went around his desk to help the man gather his papers. "Are you a professor here?"
He finally stood up after a bit and went around his desk to help the man gather his papers. "Are you a professor here?"
"Yes. I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention and went into the wrong room. Give me a moment," Dan answered him as he began to calm down. He brought his hands down from his eyes slowly and realized the man was picking up the papers. He didn't look higher than knee height to avoid the reflections. "Oh, thanks," he added awkwardly as he hastily stooped to pick up his papers. "I'm Daniel Faulkner, I teach Latin."
"Jacob Fullerton," he said, giving the man a quick smile. "I teach Water Magic." He finished picking up as many of the papers as he could without getting in the other man's way. He stood and went to lean against his desk, holding the stack of papers in one hand. He made a mental note to find out what classes Olivia planned on taking. This professor was too young, and too attractive, for his piece of mind. He wouldn't trust the man alone with his daughter.
Of course, he had no way of knowing just what his daughter was doing at this very moment. Or, rather, who... He couldn't know she'd found her soul mate, so no one else would be any temptation for her.

Dan didn't see the smile as he refused to look up from the ground. It wasn't at all a matter of being shy, but it had to do with fear. "Nice to meet you," he said politely. He straightened up again after having picked up all of the papers. "I'm sorry for intruding and making a mess. It was a mistake and, ah, well..." he paused, wondering if he should finish what he was going to say about phobias. He decided on, "I was startled."
Jacob nodded as if he understood. "It happens," he said. "I'm guessing you're new here as well?" Otherwise you'd know where to find your own office. He held out the stack of papers he'd picked up. "Here you go. These are probably all out of order now, but at least they're not on the floor."
"Yes, I am," Dan answered him. He took the papers and added them to his stack with a sigh. It had taken so long for him to order them and he'd have to do it again. "Thank you, I appreciate it," he told Jacob, with an awkward little smile, though he directed it towards the floor. He stepped back and rested the door knob. He was more than ready to leave the room. "I'm sure I'll see you again. It was nice meeting you..."
There are an awful lot of new teachers this year. I wonder what happened last year to make so many leave? Jacob thought to himself. "You're welcome. Daniel, was it? Nice meeting you, too." He gave another small smile. I seem to have some weird coworkers. I guess that should be expected at a place like this.
