I'm reading a book right now called Orphanology by Tony Merida and Rick Morton. It's a great book that gives people and churches ideas on caring for the orphan other than just adoption. Very inspiring.
Hey everyone. If you missed the Free International Adoption Webinar yesterday, CAFO has the recording available to watch. They also have a whole archive of past adoption/orphan care webinars that I'm planning on checking out whenever I can squeeze them in. Post if you watch anyway and we can talk about them!
I enjoy reading Mary Ostyn's blog. It doesn't focus on adoption primarily, but she does have a few specific posts on her adoption stories - http://www.owlhaven.net/2012/05/14/ad... - and I like seeing how adoption fits into the rest of her normal everyday and isn't compartmentalized.
Read this blog post today, written by a woman who was adopted from China when she was 2. Thought it was good, and that you all might be interested in it:http://www.relevantmagazine.com/life/...
I'm not sure if any of you follow the Live58 blog, but they posted this today regarding "adoption culture", and I really liked it: http://www.live58.org/the-critical-pa...
