Tell me about it!! I think 104 books are a lot, but I will try my best, that is what makes the challenge fun!!!
I've made 104 the last few years, but I didn't have full-time work those years. I feel like next year will be harder.
Well it's 2014 here in the land of Oz - and has been for 14 hours - guess my list starts now. I sort of feel like this is cheating, since I started the book last year, but I hadn't even made it halfway, so I think it still counts.
#1 - The Fiery Heart by Richelle Mead
#2 - Salvage by Keren David. This one's not quite out yet, but I loved it. A British YA contemporary. I loved it!
I think I spent more time reading TFH in 2014 too, so it's totally going on the list. The hard part will be picking the next book...
Yeah I understand... I've took a break from YA for a bit.. I'm reading Immortals after dark and the Highlander series ( Karen Moning) but I know i'll read both genres
I'm trying to do a one-for-me, one-for-work system...but I actually don't have that many work books lying around at the moment. Well, Salvage was a work book, so I'm up to a me book anyway :PHave you read Karen MM's Fever series?
I'm always super impressed when I see you start a new UF/PNR series - you always pick ones with like over 15 books in the series so far - and you just race through them too!
Ooh I love the Karen Marie Moning Books. Not that I want to be rude and interject. all of her books area wonderful.
Don't stress, Lindsay - these threads are open to all! :) I've only read her Fever books...and even though it's sort of Fever, I can't bring myself to read the Dani books.
The Dani books (well the first one anyway) were good. Not as good but good. Id say the Fever series then her highlander series then the Dani books. Why don't you want to read them if you don't mind my prying?
Dani annoyed me so much, that I just don't know if I could handle her full-time. Plus, it's KMM so it's bound to be dark and overly passionate, and Dani's only supposed to be 14. It stretches my comfort zone a bit. I think one day, I'd like to read them...at least before the next Fever books come out in who-knows-how-many-years. But just not yet.
I started DarkFever but had to stop... I couldn't get into it at the time (had just finished BDB) but I'm gonna try again
#3 - All Our Yesterdays by Cristin TerrillI loved this book! I guess 2014 will continue my sci-fi obsessions. It was so good!
#5 - The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden by Jessica SorensenFirst real try with New Adult books - it wasn't too bad. Not fantastic, but sort of uncomplicated and relaxing, just shut-you-mind-off reading.
#9 - Severed Heads, Broken Hearts by Robyn SchneiderI really liked this book and it had a twist-ending which really impressed me. 2 thumbs up!
Lol - I'm still WAY behind you! But last weekend was a good one for catching up a bit. I'm starting to think I'll be ok making the goal. And it'a a long weekend this week, so I'm REALLY looking forward to doing nothing but reading.
#11 - Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo. I can't believe I waited so long to read this one. What is wrong with me? Really looking forward to Rise and Ruin!
Kim wrote: "#13 - Carnival of Souls by Melissa Marr"Did you like this one? I have been looking at it for a while but haven't decide. Is it good?
I did like it! It wasn't EPIC - but it had a cool storyline. A tiny bit of insta-love through one couple, but the other couple had this really sweet/tragic bond. I'm looking forward to the sequel (whenever it comes out)
How did you like Dare You To, Kim? I read Pushing the Limits and liked it, but I haven't started Dare You To yet.
I liked it. Sort of in a 'this is easy, I don't have to worry' sort of way. I was a little frustrated with it, but there was SO MUCH tortured-family drama. It got to be a bit much. But it was a fun read. Like you, I waited so long to read this one after Pushing the Limits. I'll probably wait forever to get the next one too.
#16 - Pure by Julianna BaggottI LOVED this book. Holding out for Monday so I can order in the next two.
Gah! I forgot to add a book to this list the other week...guess I'll add it in now.#19 - Eleanor & Park - Rainbow Rowell
