Cat Saxton and Cooper Westford are young, sexy, and talented thieves. But when the two are sent after the same five targets, they are thrust into a rivalry that quickly takes a turn towards something much more sensual. The diamonds they're after become just another reason for the duo to meet and let the sparks fly again... at least until one is able to bewitch and trick the other. Cat and Cooper are driven further and further into each other's arms with each encounter of their five-night stand. But in a business where emotion is weakness, can the two learn to trust one another? Five dark, smooth nights where anything could happen and everything is allowed turn these two smart thieves into sizzling lovers, and they will never be the same.

"A beautifully crafted, uplifting meditation on the inner, personal dimensions of hope", says Kirkus Reviews. The Well of Being: a children's book for adults is an illustrated inquiry into the pursuit of happiness, and what it means to be radically alive in our daily moments. This adult picture book takes its reader on a quest for well-being and self-acceptance, following the story of a wondering everyman. The tale is captured through the innocent lens of the author's inner child; a vehicle uniquely capable of driving the plot through bold reflection and earnest doubt. The faceless protagonist sets out to retrieve the deep self-comfort and inner wellness lost along life's way.

Lex and Alex Knight are young twins who’ve been sent to the best magic school in the lands in order to be trained as hunters. According to a local prophecy, the Knight twins are destined to save the world’s magic. You see, magic is dying out. It’s being sucked away and destroyed by the creatures in the dark woods around the school, the vampires.

But the twins aren’t so sure that they’re the ones spoken of by the prophecy. They struggle to hone their magic skills and find their place in the world of hunters. And just as they’re settling in, the war with the vampires becomes a personal matter when the creatures attack and set fire to their hometown. It’s a bleak start to their education, but things aren’t always what they seem.

There are more powerful spells and techniques that aren’t usually taught to younger students. The school itself has a dark history that is never spoken of. And there’s evidence that even the enemy vampires aren’t all as evil as they seem. The world is full of secrets, and the Knight twins are seeking them out.

B.D. Messick | 13 comments Rayn Mirago's seventeenth birthday is tomorrow, but there will be no party, no gifts, and no celebration. Like every other child in this world where humanity is on the brink of extinction and resources are at a premium, she must make her Sojourn across the former United States to prove her worth. The human race has nearly been wiped due to overpopulation, global warming, and our own ignorance and conceit. The central government has collapsed and the coastal cities of North America have been reclaimed by the ocean. The Midwest is now a vast desert wasteland known as the Deadlands, while the southeastern U.S. is a dangerous and deadly jungle known as the Beastlands; an area populated by deadly human survivors, and mutated plants and animals.

The remaining fifty thousand or so survivors in the former United States now live in one of five independent walled cities, called Enclaves where they eek out a meager existence. Rayn's sojourn begins when she steps through the gates of the Vegas Enclave and into the vast wilderness between the old city and Deadlands, an area known as the Wildlands. She will face many struggles and dangers that will challenge her, make her doubt herself, and force her to realize that she is stronger than she ever imagined.

But first, she must overcome the burden of leaving her old life behind, including everything and everyone she has ever known and loved.

THE FIRST BOOK IN THE RAYN MIRAGO SOJOURN TRILOGY IS ONLY $2.99 ON KINDLE AND $2.00 ON NOOK!
