Valadhiel slid of the back of her stallion, patting the beasts neck as she dropped her hood, glancing around the stable. It had been a long journey and she was rather glad she had managed to drag her brother along. They where here to try and talk to the king under the mountain, hopefully barter with them for the right to look for something their ancestors had lost. Sighing she spoke softly into her steed's ear, telling the stallion to stay here. The horses snorted softly as she brought him to the stable boy. "How much is it to hold two horses here for two weeks," she asked quietly. After getting an answer she quickly paid as Voronwë came up to her side.
"I'll put the horses away, why don't you go into town and find us an inn to stay at," Voronwë spoke in a low voice as he pulled his hood down, exposing his sharp features. The stable boy stared at them for a moment before Valadhiel looked over at the boy, giving him a sparkling smile. "Do you know of an inn?" she asked, her accent very clear as she spoke. The boy nodded and then pointed.
"Up the street there, their should be one on your right," the boy said in awe. "Are you really elves?" he asked, blinking at them. Valadhiel nodded, a sweet smile on her face. "Yes child she stated before grabbing her hood and pulling it up over her head.
"Be careful sister," Voronwë spoke quietly, gripping his twin's should for a moment. Valadhiel winked at him before she moved away, leaving her brother to stable the horses as she headed down the street to find this inn.

Foldgruth sat inside an inn, well, whatever was the human excuse of an inn anyway, though fair to them they did have some good drinks in this place, nothing compared to the liquor of home though. The small Dwarf was sat at the bar, a half empty mug in his hand and his eyes ever gazing at the barman as he did his silly chores around the place. Baelan had already decided, before he'd even come to speak to the man, that he didn't like him. The Baffoon demanded that Baelan put his weapons and at the back of the inn! Well nothing was going to make Baelan put his Axe on the wall, and he made that very clear."Get me another of your best!" Baelan called as he finished the liquor inside his mug, downing it in one final go. He threw a few coins towards the barman, figuring as long as Baelan kept paying, his axe would stay where it belonged, on his back. He'd already asked all the questions he could to everyone in this blasted place, no one knew anything of his brother. Oh well! Might as well get a good brew down me! He thought as he slammed yet another mug full of the alcohol down his throat, slightly disappointed at its strength.
Valadhiel was completely lost and had started to doubt her sense abilities. Perhaps she should have stayed with the horses and have him look for the inn. No matter, it was her quest any ways was it not? Scowling she stepped from the side of the street and quickly crossed over to a man that stood, looking rather vulgar to say the least, but she needed directions. "Could you point me in the direction of the inn, I seem to have misstepped at some point and went the wrong way," she stated.
The foul smelling man laughed and nodded. "Ey, you passed it. It's right there," he stated and then pointed at the same building she had crossed over at. Turning she frowned, so that was what counted for as an inn here. Perhaps if was better inside? She thanked the man and slipped him a few silver pieces before she cut back across the road. Stepping through the door and letting it jangle as it closed behind her she glanced around warily. The crowd seemed decent enough, not dead but decently sized without it being roudy. Making her way over to the bar tender she pulled her hood away as she got close, not even noticing the dwarf sitting at the bar. "Excuse me, do you by any chance have two rooms available," she asked the barnan.
"Why isn't it an elf. Haven't seen many of your kind in these parts," stated a man to her right. She turned her head slightly towards him as if she wasn't sure about what he had just said. Her different colored eyes narrowed, her hand clenching but before she could do anything about the obnoxious drunk someone grabbed her hand.
"Easy sister. It's not the time to be loosing your temper," Voronwë whispered in her ear, making his twin relax a little as she looked away from the man. Voronwë looked over at the drunken man now, a scowl on his face. "And I think this is the first time I've met a man with such a weak stomach for," he stopped sniffing and made a face, "What ever that is that you call a proper drink." The man scowled back and then turned away, mumbling something before he looked back at the barman. "The rooms if you wouldn't mind," he stated to the barman, he seemed to be the only on here who worked this inn. He placed his hand on his sisters shoulder as he stood behind her, motioning for we to sit which she did but not before flicking his hand off her shoulder.
Sitting down Valadhiel gazed around, her eyes stopping on a dwarf at the other end of the bar. "Should we?" she murmured to her brother. Voronwë glanced at the dwarf and then tilted his head slightly. "If you wish," he stated before his attention turned back towards the barman. Valadhiel sighed, realizing he would get no help from her brother in this incounter.

{{Yeah, I'm not used to writing anywhere near as much as that, let alone with a single character :P}}
((You don't have to match it. It's fine if it's like your first post. Sorry about that))
The Dwarf hard watched a small encounter that was pretty much next to him, though he hadn't taken any part in it at all. At the point he was going to, some other elf stepped in and seemed to break things apart, however admittedly he'd have stood for the poor excuse of a drunkard, mainly because in Baelan's eyes he hadn't done anything wrong. He'd made a comment about the elves, and it was a pretty true statement, not that Baelan minded avoiding Elves, he didn't ever have too much care for the sods. It didn't help with the history of abandonment the bloody things had with the Dwarves, he generally wasn't brought up to love them.But alas, now the situation was dealt with and Baelan could go back to his... drink. Whatever it was, atleast it had a tiny bit of alcohol in it and atleast it was a food. The Dwarves thoughts however trailed into a pathway of random thought, mainly considering what alcohol would be like if it wasn't a liquid, needless to say he wasn't much of a brewer and it was probably best that he stayed that way. Sword over mind in this occurrence, his mind wasn't sharp enough to slay foes. Unlike his axe however, that, well that was an completely different story. He'd had it since as long as he could remember, forged by his father himself!
Valadhiel tapped her fingers on the bar as her brother paid for the rooms before she got up the nerve to talk to the dwarf, realizing her brother was ignoring her. Sliding off the seat she sat in she moved closer tot he dwarfs. "Excuse you master Dwarf. I apologize for inturupting you and your drink but are you purhapse on of the Drwarves that live in the mountain," she asked, keeping her voice polite as she could. She titled her head a bit, hoping for good news.
Voronwë finished paying and then turned his attention back to his sister, a bit worried at first till she asked the dwarf. He smiled slightly, sitting down and glancing around the room. After she was done talking to the dwarf he'd go up to their rooms.

The Dwarf looked next to him, from where a voice came, it was the Elf. What on Middle Earth did she want with him, to be honest, he wasn't sure he wanted to know. "I have been there many a time. Why?" He asked, taking a sip of his drink, his eyes watching her suspiciously as he did, not breaking contact for more than a second. The only time he did break contact was to look at her travelling companion, the other Elf that was with her. Elves always led to trouble, they always dragged it along behind them, even if they didn't know. Or at least, that was what Baelan was always taught to believe, his family weren't exactly accepting of the Elves.
She smiled slightly. "Do you think you could get us a meeting with the King under the Mountain?" she asked, her voice calm and fluid. "It is something with importance to us but a small trivial thing to Dwarves I suppose. We are looking for information on something me and my brother have lost and we are hoping to be allowed to search for it," she stated, using a hand to swipe a braid out of her face. "We'd be most greatful and perhaps a bargain could be struck if your wanting payment," she added quickly. She knew in her heart that this was a very small chance at success and as time passes by she felt it had become smaller and smaller. The trust between elves and dwarves were little nowadays. So little it seems in fact that even her twin had advised her not to make the trip but she had anyways and dragged him along.
Voronwë was listening to their conversation with on ear, the other trained on the stirring of the crowd. It seemed their presence was most disturbing to the men here. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose before he reached into his cloak, pulling out a leather flask and swallowing the firey liquid inside. Shaking his head as it burned his throat he capped it and then slipped it back into his cloak before coughing into his elbow. It seemed to draw his sisters attention who looked back at him with a worried glance before turning back to the dwarf.
"Perhaps if you thought about it at least. We have traveled far and my brother needs rest. In my rush I forgot to introduce myself as well, my apologies. I'm Valadhiel Minyarthor of Rivendell, and my brother is Voronwë. If you'd just think about helping us. We'll be in the rooms above," she stated before she got up, taking her brother by his shoulder who quickly knocked her had away. Valadhiel waited then till Voronwë stood on his own and then she walked close behind him and at his shoulder as if getting ready to catch a drunken friend. They headed up a set of rickety looking stairs and found there room where Valadhiel quickly had her brother lay down and rest.

{{Sorry, I never got the notification, I'll reply as soon as I get a spare sec! Probably within the next hour!}}
{{The only problem I have with writing so much is that it doesn't allow my character to react in sequence with your character, which makes it a huge pain in the ass to explain}}
((I never thought about like that. I always find it hard the other way around. Hmmm. I'll keep that in mind next time I post so that it doesn't turn out that way.))
{{Yeah, I'm not sure what to do with him to be honest, I can't write that much when I can't even include his actions/reactions/dialogue into the post :P}}
((You can include it. Why wouldn't you?))
{{Because it just gets weird 'cause then she can't have reactions or actions to his reactions and actions :P}}The Dwarf sat in his stool still, blinking at the sudden appearance and disappearance of the elf. As soon as she had come, she had gone again, disappearing upstairs. Mountains? Erebor? Meeting? He blinked a few more times, unsure what to think of it all. He was a Dwarf of the Iron Hills, although he was visiting here, didn't mean that he could just ask for an audience! Let alone Elves! It just wasn't conceivable, Elves going into the Halls? No. Never!
Balean stood up from his stool a few moments later, grunting to himself when he noticed the stool seemed bigger than him. Making his way up the stairs he slowly, but loudly, knocked on one of the doors. "Lass?!" He called out
((I see it as more of her being a jerk and dismissing him despite what his reactions where because of her brother *shrugs*))
Valadhiel blinked, not really expecting the dwarf to come to the room. Thankfully he had knocked on the right one. She shot up from where she was watching her brother and made her way to the door. Voronwë sat up in bed slowly, blankets falling off him before he coughed slightly into his elbow. Getting up out of bed he quickly pulled on an over shirt, fastening it in the front before he moved over to the table and sat down, grabbing his flask and taking another quick drink of it, feeling it burn down his throat.
Valadhiel opened the door, looking down at the dwarf with interest. "I apologize for leaving quickly," she stated, opening the door wider and stepping aside as an invitation for him to come in. "Voronwë is ill you see," she stated, a worried look on her face.
The male twin glared at her, slamming his fist on the table. "Valadhiel." he grunted sowerly. "There isn't use in hiding it," Valadhiel stated quickly, giving her brother a quick scolding look.

The Dwarf furrowed his eyes, looking between the two. "Well ye see lassie. I don't know how ye can expect a random Dwarf in a shite hole of a Tavern to be able to grant ye an audience with anyone, let alone let you recover something which you lost. Ye realize that the chances of you gettin' in will be slim aye?" He asked, eyeing her brother up and down slightly, his eyes suspicious as he did, he couldn't trust Elves, their troubled history ensured that. At the invitation inside, the Dwarf simply shook his head. "Thank ye but no. I'd rather not make your brother feel any worse with my presence." He said, not quite sure whether he'd meant that the Dwarf himself would cause the Elf hurt or if it was more likely the Elf, in close proximity to Baelan, would bug him.
Valadhiel nodded, frowning but understand. At him saying that she stepped out into the hall and closed the door firmly behind her, liking it with a key. The door nob jangled behind her as Voronwë tried to get it open but she ignored it, choosing to turn her attention back on the dwarf. "I was hoping some what for a miracle I guess," she stated and then slumped down on the wall till she was sitting on the floor, bringing herself lower than the dwarf. She wasn't your average elf that was for, maybe that was why she was an out cast. "Aren't most dwarfs distant relatives?" she asked curiously truthfully she had been always fascinated by their race, fascinated by her brethren wood elves and men the same but dwarfs where always a curiousity to her, they reminded her of gruffer versions of hobbits. More travel worn.
"I'll tell you as no other elf would, but the thing we are seeking is dangerous at best. It was taken from Rivendell by my parents long ago during one of the wars, I bothered not learning which. It wasn't suppose to leave Rivendell, meant to stay there. See it was a gift from a very old friend of my family, promising that as long as it stayed in Rivendell non in my family would carry our curse. My family is very old, with many that hate us I guess you could say, and since the item has been lost it no longer protects my kin, it is why brother has become sick. I do not know what to do and there is little time left for me to correct my parents mistakes. If I do not return in time my brother will fade, and I will be exiled," she explained sighing and then rubbed her face.
"I know what my race has done to dwarves in the past that would make us at impossible odds to succeed in finding the in formation we need. It twas why I was hoping to have a dwarf stand good for us, but from what I've read of my families history there is none. I'm at odds and do not want to loose my brother. He is the only one that cares. My own kin would wish me dead rather than let me willingly back into their lives. They only helped me to get here because of Voronwë who holds sway in their hearts it would seem," she was babbling now but it helped to have someone to talk to, even a stranger who would probably wish to be gone rather than listening to an elf speak. She stared at the ceiling, her duel colored eyes studying the work done into the craftmenship of the building. It was poor but seemed sturdy enough to last a long time.

Baelan looked down at the elf, who had now stooped lower than him. It was rare to see an Elf willingly sit in front of him, as that usually meant they would appear smaller than the Dwarf, something that the Elves couldn't seem to live with, and the fact that this one had done it, made Baelan respect her slightly more than he should have, hell, slightly more Han he should respect any Elf that he'd ever met. "All Dwarves may have been related at one point, but isn't that the same for most races? Yer go back enough in her history and yer next door neighbour might be yer seventy third cousin. Kin through atleast a dozen generations, but kin all the same. Howe'er that won't make him suddenly able to request people go see you and pull family favours now will it? I came up here to tell ye that I'm sorry, but there's not much I can do for ye." He said, almost tempted to sit down next to the Elf.He thought for a few moments in silence, his mind wandering through the many thought processes in his brain at once, wondering if he could help the Elf in some way. "If a 'warf travellin' with ye can help, that I can do. But I'm just an Iron Hills Dwarf, from a family that can barley be considered noble anymore. I don't know what I can do, but I guess it wouldn' hurt to try and help ye and yer brother." He told her, honestly feeling sympathy for her cause. Or atleast as much sympathy as he could feel for an Elf.
Valadhiel smiled slightly at the dwarf letting out a small sigh of relief. She nodded, her smile turning up a bit more as she started to stand, brushing herself off rather slowly. "I'd be in your debt, even if it doesn't work out your help is greatly appreciated," she stated and tucked a braid behind her ear. Voronwë had given up on the door a while ago she guessed since the door knob was no longer jingling so moving over to it she unlocked it, opening the door and pushing it open a bit. She stopped, turning back to the dwarf. "I don't think I caught your name master dwarf," she stated, a frown firming in her face slightly before the corner of her mouth lifted. "I'm going to send a message ahead to announce ourselfs so it's not a surprise, but tomorrow, if you'd like we could start out. Do you have any means of transportation?" she asked curiously.
Voronwë was laying back down in bed when he heard the door open and gingerly say up, hearing his sister speaking with the dwarf through the half opened door.

((It's okay lol, as long as I'm not forgotten))
((Sooooo, busy with a work type stuff or school type stuff?))
He nodded his head slightly, watching the Elf, wondering what on this planet he'd gotten himself into, he was here, offering to help an Elf with a task they needed to be complete, a task that was impossible at best. Baelan stood up proud, straightening his back and clothing as he allowed himself to speak, almost trying to boom his voice. "I am Coldstone. Baelan. Baelan Coldstone, son of Bhig, brother to Foldgruth." He told her, it was clear that he took immense pride in his ancestry and his family, not unlike other Dwarves. "Nah, I have no method of transportation, I go walkin' everywhere mainly." He admitted, a slight frown playing on his face slightly, before he opened his mouth to speak a little more. "And I do suggest yer let 'em know that we be comin'. They wont take kindly to strangers vistin'." He suggested.
Valadhiel nodded, bowing her head in respect as he stated a name. "I do believe I've heard good things about the Coldstone line," she stated with a smile. When he said he had no transport she felt the twinge of a frown trying to form but she kept her smile in place. "They probably won't allow beasts like horses in anyways," she noted thoughtfully. They'd have to leave theirs here, or send them back, or just let them wander between here and the mountain. Any would work she guessed. "It is late now I suppose, I'll be sending that message and then heading to bed myself," she stated as she stood in the doorway.
"I'll see you again in the morning I suppose Baelen Coldstone," she smiled and have a respectful bow. Turning she swung the door open wider and slipped inside, closing the door behind her with a soft click. Voronwë stared at her for a long moment as he sat with his legs hanging over the bedside.
"I prosume it went well," Voronwë stated as he glared at his sister who simply smiled at him. "If you....if this ends not in our favor-" he started to say but was cut off when Valadhiel took his hand in hers.
"If they do not help us I will find another way to find the information we seek. I am not with out my ways you know that," she stated smoothly before she went to the table and sat down to write the message as best and as politely as she could to the Dwarven King.
