OK, not the end of the world - I found a book that fits. Will read:
by Jamie Alden. Heroine's brother is arrested for a murder he did not commit.
Go To JailBook:
by Jami AldenDate: Jan 3rd
Rating: 4★'s
Review: The serial killer plot is fast-paced, intense and satisfying, and the romance has potential but ultimately fizzles as the H/h are not that likable as individuals.
Short Line RailroadBook:
by Jaci BurtonDate: Jan 4th
Rating: 4★'s
Reviews: Not a fan of novellas so its good that this was short. Its virtually identical to the first two books in the series only with a paranormal twist. I kind of liked the first book but the other two are just more of the same - nothing original.
I now own Short Line Railroad

This one didn't hook me quite as fast as the Chemical Garden books but about 1/2 way in I couldn't put it down. Ms. DeStefano's writing style is so unique, it's like dark poetry that just flows through the pages. In this book them side characters really made the story for me. I fell harder for them than the MC but it works with this story. I really want to get my hands on the next one after the way this one ended! I would definitely recommend to this anyone who's in the mood for something a little different and a little dark.
I own Reading RR
Lauren I'm confused lolIf you were in jail and got out and rolled an 8 shouldn't that of put you on Tennessee Ave not Shortline?

You're right, Jenne. I counted from Go To Jail instead of Jail. Of course, my count was wrong this way as well...
I need to pay more attention. I'm going back :0)
Lol it's funny, I'm glad you didn't read a big book for it that would of sucked. I'm assuming when you get out of jail you're at the jail spot?
Jenne wrote: "That works out then :)I like that series btw."
I'm really not good with numbers. I'm always telling my students to check their grades and make sure I haven't miscalculated.

Pretty strong start to a series! Morgan was pretty kick butt and Jack was great! What really made this book for me was the Templar and Atlantan influence, very unique and interesting. The ending definitely leaves you wanting more and I can't wait to read book 2!
I own St Charles Place

You convinced me. I just got it from Audible.
I hope you like it. Morgan was pretty kick butt, what really sold me though were the Templar and Atlantan parts. Definitely unique and interesting world building.

Review:
Ok so after the action packed first book and the way it ended I've been dying to read this. Part one of this book had me a little disappointed in Zee, so much so I was getting concerned this might suffer from book 2 syndrome. JUST WAIT till you get to part 2!!!! OMG I couldn't put it down. Action packed and nail biting included! This series is really good and I think anyone who likes either UF or PNR will love this. Don't let the YA tag fool you either, this is not really a YA book at all think Night Huntress meets Twilight. Now I really need book 3!
Lauren wrote: "I love stories about Atlantis and the Knights Templar so it is right up my alley :0)"I bet you'll like it then. I couldn't put my free parking book down. I loved the first one and the second one didn't disappoint :)
Kentucky Avenue - ended up reading a different book for the 2011 shelf. Book:
by Julie Anne LongDate: Jan 9th
Rating: 3★'s
Reviews: While the hero and heroine are engaging and their romance is intense, the pacing is tediously slow until the last 30% and the phrasing is repetitious.

Rolled a 5 and a 2 = 7Landed on: Water Works - Read a book that makes you cry
Hmmm...have to think about this one
Going to read
for water works. Not sure it will make me cry but I have a thing for tortured heroes and they usually do get me to tear up.

Wow I didn't realize this was the last one :(
Things tied up nicely and there were some really sad moments. I never cry and I actually got teary eyed. These books are really good and I highly recommend them for anyone who's a PNR or UF fan. I'm very sad to see the end of this series.

Starting spot Indiana rolled a 7(3&4) landed on go to jail. Gonna go try to roll some doubles *fingers crossed*
Water WorksBook:
by Elizabeth HoytDate: Jan 10th
Rating: 5★'s
Reviews: An excellent resolution to the series. Beatrice and Reynaud relationship is physically and emotionally intense, and the revelation of the traitor’s identity is satisfying as is the final confrontation with him. I also found myself tearing up at points, especially the scenes with Jeremy.
I now own Water Works
Rolled a 2 and a 3 = 5Landed on: Community Chest
Rolled a 6 and a 3 = 9: Advanced to St. Charles Place - ebooks shelf
Will read:
- maybe this time I'll actually read it, lol!
The rules say that you roll twice a day for doubles for two days (roll once more the day you landed in jail), or you can read a book that has an ex-con or someone who is arrested in it. On the third day, you roll to move forward again. The first time I landed on Jail, I just continued rolling until I got doubles - learned my lesson about not asking, lol!
So you can roll once more today and if you don't get doubles, you can just roll normally tomorrow and continue playing.

If you shy away from zombie books, this is not your traditional zombie book. Quite a unique spin and the zombies aren't really "zombies". The first bit of this book I wanted to strangle Phoenix. Then about 1/3 of the way in she finally grows up some stops being so annoying. I couldn't put this down once I got over the Phoenix stops being annoying part. All in all I'm glad I read it!

Roll Dice
Monopoly Rules
• You do not need to wait for the other player to finish reading before you take your next turn. As soon as you're done reading, go ahead and roll.
• Each property is represented by a shelf. For each grouping of shelves/properties you would read a certain amount of books from that shelf. Once you finish the amount of books you would then “Own” that shelf.
• If you land on an “owned” shelf you would have to read a certain amount of books above what the owner had to read.
• If one person “owns” all of the books in a group (think Mediterranean and Baltic) and another player lands on their properties they would be able to recommend at least one of the books that the player has to read.
• Utilities – For the Electric Company – Read a book where the characters have electric chemistry. For Water Works – Read a book that makes you cry. Books have to be 150 pages or more.
• If a player lands on an “Owned” utility, then the owner will recommend a book with electric chemistry or that makes them cry.
• Railroads – For Reading Railroad – Read whatever you want. For Pennsylvania Railroad – Read a book set in Pennsylvania. For B&O Railroad – Read a book that someone else thought stunk. For Short Line – Read a novella. Page minimum 150 for all but Short Line. 25 page minimum for the novella.
• If a player lands on an “owned” railroad, the owner will recommend a book for that specific railroad.
• Chance and Community Chest – there are 12 cards for each. If a player lands on one of those spots they will roll the dice a second time and then would “pull” the corresponding card and do whatever it says on the card. Once a card is used, it will be out of play unless needed to finish the game. Books for this would need to be at least 150 pages.
• Being in Jail – To get out of jail you would need to have one of the get out of jail free cards, roll doubles on one of your next three turns or read a book where a character is arrested or has been in jail. Books for this would need to be 150 pages or more.
• Just Visiting – Read a novella of your choice, 50 page minimum
• Free Parking – Read any book 100 pages or more
• Go – Read any book of 200 pages or more
• Luxury Tax/Income Tax – Read a book with a rich character, a really poor character or someone that works in a bank. 150 pages or more
• Each roll, you'll post your starting spot, the roll and your new spot on the board.
• When you finish your book you'll post the spot your on, book name, rating, when it was finished and a short review of the book. If you were supposed to read a book that had a specific element (water works utility, book that made you cry), then please mention that in the review.
• Re-reads are allowed.
