Hi, I'm Jono! I've worked at Exclusive Books Bedford Centre (Jo'burg) for the last two years as part of the night staff. We once had a fill in security guard named "Surprise"!
Hello, I'm Calla. I've been working at Exclusive Books Bedford Centre for a year and 3 months as night staff. A customer asked us if we sold prit.
Hi, I'm Lauren, I worked as nightstaff at the Century City branch in Cape Town for almost three years. I left at the beginning of February this year.I once had to spend half an hour placating a ranting customer who was upset that we didn't have same-day delivery like Walmart.
HI I am Kelly, I no longer work at Exclusive Books Bedford Centre. But spent two years there as both a bookseller and Supervisor. Hey to all my EBBC peeps!!!!I was once asked where the Bathroom scales were. She got angry and stormed out because I told we don't stock bathroom scales at Exclusive Books
Hey guys :) I'm Chante and been working at EB Brooklyn on Nightstaff for the last 4 years while I studied... We have a resident in our store dubbed as "creepy old guy" who leers at the girls all day and night long... even falling asleep in the evenings... you guys experience the same?

When I was at EB Bedford, we had to ban sleeping in the store as our couches became a local break area for restaurant staff and some bookclub ladies somehow found this very upsetting.
We had an old guy that always wore the same pair of white pants and was in the store every week - he was borderline creepy.
A colleague used to be the subject of the creepy men's gazes but enticed them to buy her books. ;-)

Ah! Its brilliant! "Let me direct you to the quick question line.... Where right now there are 2 people in front of you" hahaha! Oh so true
Hi I worked at the Somerset Mall Exclusives for 3 months then transfered to the Stellenbosch shop last year in June its awesome! Its the smallest shop and not even in a mall but we have lots of students and tourists to keep us busy!
I just love reading, have never worked at a bookshop though but can read just about any writing in a language that I understand. I am currently in East Rand(JHB) have lived in Stellenbosch(Kayamandi) since 1999 and before that in Eastern cape.
