I once had to spend half an hour placating a ranting customer who was upset that we didn't have same-day delivery like Walmart.

We have a resident in our store dubbed as "creepy old guy" who leers at the girls all day and night long... even falling asleep in the evenings... you guys experience the same?

When I was at EB Bedford, we had to ban sleeping in the store as our couches became a local break area for restaurant staff and some bookclub ladies somehow found this very upsetting.

We had an old guy that always wore the same pair of white pants and was in the store every week - he was borderline creepy.

A colleague used to be the subject of the creepy men's gazes but enticed them to buy her books. ;-)

Hi I worked at the Somerset Mall Exclusives for 3 months then transfered to the Stellenbosch shop last year in June its awesome! Its the smallest shop and not even in a mall but we have lots of students and tourists to keep us busy!

I just love reading, have never worked at a bookshop though but can read just about any writing in a language that I understand. I am currently in East Rand(JHB) have lived in Stellenbosch(Kayamandi) since 1999 and before that in Eastern cape.
