New Posting Guidelines are effective today, 3/16/2015

You may have noticed that this folder is quite a bit smaller. Due to the large number of expired giveaways and old release information, we've decided to give this folder an overhaul. This will include some posting guideline adjustments.

All expired giveaways were deleted.
All self promos by former members were deleted.
All self promo posts that haven't had active group participation in the last few months by the poster were deleted.
Old posts with old release information (more than three months old) were also deleted.

I've kept the recent promos and book information posts, but will be cleaning those up too once three months have gone by.

See the above post for guidelines on how to post future promos.

So basically, self promotions will need to be posted in the two threads listed above. This isn't to limit the space provided for group authors.

I went through and looked at three full pages of self promotions, and the vast majority of them only had a single post. Some had an update or two. There's no reason we can't keep those to these two threads and keep everyone up to date on the new releases and giveaways. Truth is, members are more likely to check them out if they're not overwhelmed with threads, but have a single place to look.

Group authors that are also active as group readers will have a chance to expand their own promotion identity in this group, by invitation of group mods. Having authors interact with our group is one of the true joys of Good Reads, and we'll certainly support those that are active members of our little community that's called Flights of Fantasy.
