Introduce Yourself!!
I shall start:
Guten tag: Ich bin Emma und ich sprechen der Deutsch :D
Actually, no I do not (but I wish I did!)
I'm Emma, and I am the moderator (yay!). I play piano and classical violin (meaning that I play all types of piano but only classical violin). I'm a published author and love history.

I am Lisa Miller. I write inspirational poetry and have published two books so far and am working on my third. I am married and have three kids. We live in the beautiful state of Alaska where the spirit of animals and men roam free.I enjoy reading, writing, blogging and social networking
I've stayed away from the drawing/composing board as school's so busy and I've been writing more, but I once came in 4th place in a contest and have been slowly writing a choral piece with the lyrics of Canto I of Dante's Inferno. It's great fun :D
Yes, I love writing choral music. It's a lot of fun because our school choir isn't that great this year; all this year, we've only done two songs with any six part splits.
I'm Shlomo. I'm a writer. Although I haven't published anything, I'm in the process of writing a full-fledged epic fantasy series. I've written a few short stories, and poems, along with articles. I like to play guitar, but I'm at level zero in it. Still have a lot to learn on it. Besides these, I like to read, walk and listen to music.
Hello, I'm Rachel. Similar to Emma, dear moderator, I play the piano and violin and in addition, I am an amateur vocalist and an art student. I have never published a book, though I do enjoy writing for fun and some of my stories are posted online. They're incredibly juvenile and awkward. Nice to meet you all.
May I ask, since you mentioned you were a published author, what is the usual genre of the books you have written?

Well... that's a complicated question (lol) :D I like historical things in modern settings. So fantasy/fiction/historical fiction? I'm not sure, each to his own taste of categorizing. I'd say 'fiction' for myself. I'll write or read almost anything, though. Oh - Adventure. That's it, maybe.

I'm Stan Morris, the author of eight ebooks. Sometimes I write poetry. I used to play the piano and the guitar, but I gave them up long ago. I live on my farm on Maui where I grow lots of veggies and fruit. My neighbor farms most of my land. He grows herbs, like lemon grass, chives, basil, and asparagus.I love watching sports, and I have 5 LCD TV's in my man-cave. I like to listen to music, anything from Mozart to Willie Nelson to the Moody Blues.
I've been with my wife since 1975
HiI am Diana.
I am trying to write historical fiction around Renaissance Urbino including the philosophy of Marsilio Ficino. I am interested in art, history, music - Mozart to Moody Blues like Stan - and gardening. At present living in France, but England and Italy also some of the time.
Hey guys! My name is Maria. Someone invited me here. I really love reading ( no surprise there) I also love writing and I'm planning to be a author. I love animals, chocolate and I play the piano and guitar and I love to draw! :-D
Yes I procrastinate too. That's how this group came to be! My friends and I were procrastinating in our old Social Studies teacher's room (or the school library sometimes) and we decided upon calling ourselves an 'academy'.
Alyssa wrote: "I like watching TV shows, dancing, fighting, and I don't like reading at all ;)"Hi, my name is Emma! I love to read, of course! I also love to sing, drama, and anything to do with fashion!
Hiya!
I use that so often and only now realize it sounds like the karate battle cry. When I took Taekwondo it was "keya" but... Hmm.

Not thinking of playing in the Philharmonic also play guitar and especially mandolin that is the same tuning as the violin(those that might not know)have even a mandola same tuning as a viola.
Really? I never knew.
I just had a violin competition that I played in yesterday... now my hand really hurts. I'm sort of afraid because the next piece I'm playing is called "The Devil's Trill" - It's probably not as bad as "Duet for Solo Violin", which my teacher just played for me...

Tartini? I have the Corelli and Vivaldi sonatas. We played at school that period of music where the violin was dominant. What kind of strings you like I buy perlon on D'Addario, the Dominant are so expensive. Did you try reading the fiction book of Vivaldi you might like that...would love to go to Venice been other places in Italy...
Yes :) the third movement.
I use Evah Pirazzi strings.
And I did read it - I didn't love it because I think there 1) wasn't enough Vivaldi and 2) when he was there, he was annoying (towards the end) because obviously Maddalena loves him but he just sorta dissed her!
