Sarapepparkaka | 16 comments Peggy, I would, it's just that I read the book a long time ago and only added the grade now..
Julie, I will take a look!

GeraniumCat Julie, I like your Pinterest board, it's a lovely idea to have one just for the challenge! I think I'll start my own - I'm only reading women writers.

Julie | 76 comments If you do start one, i'd love to have the link

message 7: by GeraniumCat (new)

GeraniumCat Well, I sat down with a cup of tea after lunch and of course, I had to start, being a Pinterest addict. It's only a start, I shall keep adding throughout the year - I've already added a number of authors that other people here have recommended.

Sarapepparkaka | 16 comments No book from Scotland in February, but now in March I'vre read one. And it's a book that gives food for thoughts.
This Is Where I Am by Karen Campbell

So, 3 books read so far. I'll manage 6 more books from Scotland this year, I hope!

Sarapepparkaka | 16 comments I heard about Shona MacLeans books here- and am pleased to say I now have three of them, and plan to spend some time in 17th century Scotland. The first one, "The redemption of Alexander Seaton", is now read.
The Redemption of Alexander Seaton (Alexander Seaton, #1) by Shona MacLean

4 books read, and keeping a steady pace opf one book per month for this challenge, which will make me finish on time!

message 11: by Sarapepparkaka (last edited May 05, 2014 12:47AM) (new)

Sarapepparkaka | 16 comments I've finished the second book about Alexander Seaton. A bit more happening in this book than in the first.
A Game of Sorrows (Alexander Seaton, #2) by Shona MacLean
But most of it takes place in Ireland.. still a Scottish writer, though. I'm early this month- maybe I'll have time for another book for this challenge in May?

message 12: by Sarapepparkaka (new)

Sarapepparkaka | 16 comments It seems I didn't read another book for this challenge after all last month- but I did read one this month!
The Red Road (Alex Morrow #4) by Denise Mina
I´ve read Denise Mina before and always more or less enjoyed her books. This one started out a bit confusing, but I think it was meant to, that you were meant to see a pattern only later in the book.
Anyway, book 6- only three more books to go, surely I will manage that before the year ends.

Yes, do that, the language is more than a little poetic.

This looks like a very good book. I've just added it to my ever-growing queue.

This is a new edition of Ian Rankin's "Knots and crosses" in Swedish, and nice to go back to the beginning of a series that I love. Read it in October.

Sarapepparkaka | 16 comments I read another Rankin in August, "Dead souls".
