Shirley | 4177 comments This year, I have decided to have a more relaxed approach towards my reading – so no long lists of books I MUST read or anything like that - I have enough pressure and deadlines at work to worry about!

However, I still have general goals and they are:

To take part in as many of the group reads as I can – especially the fiction and classics reads, but I will try to fit in some non-fiction too, if I can!

To use my local library more!

To read as many unread books from my bookshelf at home as I can, including those still outstanding from last year:

Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf
Beloved by Toni Morrison
Cider With Rosie by Laurie Lee
Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbons
The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro
Catch-22 by Joseph Heller

To complete the around the world challenge (7 books)

To read all my book-club books (probably about 8 in a year)

And above all, to enjoy reading some great books this year!!

That would be great, Tracey - it will make me read it! When would be the best time for you?

Tracey (traceypb) | 1193 comments Anytime the books I have on my bookcase are to read throughout the year and I will slot it in whenever is convenient for you. :)

I'm thinking about Catch-22 for this year, when were you thinking of reading it?

I'm not sure yet - maybe in the summer? I don't want to overburden myself at the moment, but maybe in July? Or is that too far ahead?

As it's not too long, would March be ok for you?

Perfect!
And when were you thinking to read Cold Comfort Farm? It is unother of the books I'd like to read this year. If it's not too soon, we could read it along as well

Excellent! That's another one for Leslie's list.
