February inevitably makes people think about love, doesn't it? So let's talk about something we all love: books! What are the first books you read that made you fall in love with reading? For me, it was Anne of Green Gables, which I devoured in second grade, read the rest of the series, and then ransacked the school library on a regular basis looking for more amazing reads. Tell us about how you fell in love with books!

My third grade teacher read "Little House on the Prarie" to the class. I couldn't wait to read the rest of the series. I've loved reading ever since!

We posted one of my favorite essays over at the Book Keeping website, Anne Fadiman's "Marrying Libraries" from Ex Libris: Confessions of a Common Reader.
