lets make our characters first

Name: Yogi Stance
Age: 18
Occupation: works at parents book store
Personality: A bit shy at first but she quickly warms up to people. Her favorite thing is a great story, her second favorite being someone to share it with.
History: Dad left when she was seven, but her mother remarried. A book store has been in her family for a few generations.
other: bi, has a dog named Romeo

Name: Akshay Red
Age: 19
Occupation: works at a bookstore owned by the Stance family.
Personality: He is a very outgoing and friendly.He is also very caring too. He loves to find a good story and share it with somebody.
History: His mom died from a car accident causing his dad to remarry somebody who likes hitting him.
Other: has his name tattoo from his shoulder to his wrist.

Alright, lets start :)

Yogi stocks the new books, straining to reach the higher shelves. She absolutely loves the smell of the new books, almost as much as she loves the older books.

Akshay pushed a cart of new books to where Yogi was. "Need any help Yogi?" he asked.

She stiffens, though he's been working with them for a month she still isn't quite used to him.
"Um yeah, just a little."

Akshay helped Yogi stock the books on the high shelf. " I'll do the other side," he said as he pushed the cart.

"Thanks." She says, and continues to stock in silence.

Akshay started stocking the shelves enjoying the new smell of brand new books.

"So, do you like the new books? I thought it'd be good to expand our science fiction section..." She looks at him, waiting for an answer.

"I love the new books one of em even caught my eye too," said Akshay smiling slightly at Yogi.

"Really?" She asks, now intrigued, "Which one? Personally, I love all of them."

"I like em all too but I haven't read this book yet," said Akshay pulling out a book titled 'The Quantum Thief. Then he went over to Yogi to show her.

She looks at the book, touching the cover. "Ooh, I thought this one had especially nice cover art, that's why we bought it, is it any good?"

"Havent read it yet might buy it before I leave today," commented Akshay.

"Hmm, I think I'll buy a copy too." She smiles up at Akshay.

"What about you Yogi?" asked Akshay smiling back.

"M-My favorite?" She skims over the books and quickly picks out a hard cover. "The Bion series, I used to always read them when I was younger."

"Oh yeah that was my favorite too when I was a younger," agreed Akshay then he went back to his side to put his book up.

"Awesome!" She says loudly, but quickly silences herself, "I mean, cool, that's cool."

Akshay laughs as he finishes stocking the shelves.

Yogi quickly finishes her side and goes back to working the cash register.

Akshay finishes his side, puts the cart back and helps any customers who are having trouble.

Yogi thinks over her next words very carefully, "Hey, Akshay, do you want to, maybe, grab a cup of coffee later?"

"Sure I'm in," said Akshay with a grin.

She smiles "Good, meet me after our shift is done outside."

"Sure thing Yogi," said Akshay then he got back to helping the customers.
