Four thirty am- a time for Moroi to be wrapping up their classes and a time no sane Dhampir should be awake. Then again Micah never claimed to be sane. The trek up the three flights of stairs to the recreational room was a difficult one when he was still half asleep. After waking up from one of his infrequent nightmares he found the need to move around, remind himself he was okay and alive, but quickly he found it this wasn’t the way to do it. Usually he’d go to his classroom and do his own weight training and conditioning. A breath of relief he hadn’t realized he’d been holding left his lips as he finished the third flight. Taking the stairs wasn’t as difficult as an action as it had once been, but it was still a process hopping flights on one good leg. For a second he looked down the empty corridor before his eyes landed on a Guard that wasn’t too far away. It made sense he was there considering the feeding rooms were just a bit farther down. With a seemingly easy gait he walked over towards the recreational room.

Luckily enough for him it was empty. Usually it was filled with hormonal teenagers, and that was never fun. Micah saw he had no purpose there though and was about to turn back before his eyes landed on the couch and his body was instinctively moving towards it. Settling down he stretched out his arms in front of him before looking around. When he walked in he hadn’t turned the lights on, so the only natural lighting was the one from outside. The moon. Humming softly under his breath he leaned his head back on the couch and closed his eyes. Distantly he heard footsteps outside but ignored them easily, knowing there wasn’t a threat; though he’d be lying if he said he wasn’t always alert and ready for some sort of danger.

Micah tensed slightly when the footsteps outside stopped. He tried to convince himself it was just the guard posted outside, or they’d taken the stairs to go down to another floor, but it just seemed too much of a coincidence. Opening his eyes he sat up a bit his eyes falling down towards a shadowed figure at the door. With his vision having barely adjusted towards the light it took him a moment to make out certain features. A smile was evident but he had to squint slightly before he let out a small laugh. Maybe had had just dozed off and now he was having an all too wonderful dream. Getting to his feet he walked forwards before stopping by the door, leaning his good hip against it before he crossed his own arms across his chest. “Well hello there cutie, are you lost, do you have a problem with staring?” He teased, opting for keeping the lights off.

A small smirk made its way towards his lips before he let his stance relax a bit more and he wrapped an arm around Pytor’s waist. Resting his forehead against the younger man's he couldn’t help but to place a small kiss near his temple. “Hmm, well my boyfriend isn’t supposed to get back until tomorrow, so maybe we could have a bit of fun before he does? I promise not to tell if you don’t.” An obvious hum of pleasure left his lips after having him there after three weeks. Gently he pressed his fingers into the small of his back in attempts to get him into the room, slightly aware of the guard that was likely still at his post down the hall.

Micah looked down at with an eyebrow raised in amusement, trying to soak in the image of him right there. While there were things like facetime and skype to ease his worries he was always relieved when Pyotr returned safely. "He is, is he?" He shrugged off this simple fact as if it wasn't going to be a problem at all. "I can handle him, besides he needs to learn to share." Micah told him this with a nod of his head before pressing him back against the now closed door. With the lights turned on he was able to get a better look at him. Gently he ran his fingers down his cheek, and he felt that hollow ache that had been sitting in his chest for three full weeks begin to dissolve as he gave him another kiss. It was just as short as the first one, and of course he wanted more, but he wouldn't mind drawing out the teasing.

"Oh?" He asked with a soft purr, quite liking the idea of having just a bit more fun. Despite the urge to hold back he found his own fingers wandering slowly up Pytor's shirt before halting just above his abdomen. "You are quite scandalous, I can't believe you'd move on to playing chess with me so quickly. I made my boyfriend wait until the third date." Laughing shortly he reached for Pytor's hand instead before guiding him over towards one of the tables where there was a game laid out. Truthfully he had no idea how to play the game, so it was unlikely they'd get anywhere.

Micah watched as the boys eyes fluttered closed and a warm feeling traveled through him before he felt Pyotr's fingers raking through his hair. Walking towards the table he kissed the back of his hand softly before letting it go for only a moment. The third kiss almost broke him and he groaned softly, and barely managed to ignore the need to bring his lips back to Pytor's. At the question he shook his head slowly. "Um.. I believe that if you get the Queen the game is over." He said it as more of a question as he raised an eyebrow in his direction.

Seeing his eye roll he bit his lower lip to hold down a laugh. "Yeah, he was a hold out, but I love him anyways." He grinned before walking around the table. The short corner made him wince slightly as his artificial leg dug into his skin slightly; he really needed to get a better fixed. Passing it off as nothing, though, he began to pull out the chair one the opposite side of the table. "For you." He said with a small boy before meeting his gaze. "I bet your boyfriend was never such a gentleman."

At the stuck up voice Micah shook his head before looking down at the chair that his hand was resting on. "Well, maybe he was good for one thing. I believe my boyfriend tried explaining it to me on that third date, but you know- bad listener." When he saw Pytor's gaze drop towards his lips he sighed softly. If he kept doing that it was unlikely they'd so much as get through the next ten minutes.

"It isn't" He remarked before pushing the seat in just a bit. At the sultry look a little bit of his resistance broke as he leaned down to kiss the back of his neck before his lips trailed down towards his collarbone. "Maybe you'll do a better job teaching me?" Micah murmured softly against his skin before making his way towards the opposite end of the table and taking his own seat across from him.

"Why would you give such compliments when you don't know him?" Though he was willing to concede that Pyotr was all of those things and more he decided not to. "He also has the most perfect and kissable lips, but most of the time he just teases me with them." He told him with a mocking tone of sadness before giving him a look that told him he should express sympathy.

"I'm never wrong." He scolded as he watched him roll around the king. If he didn't know the most basic part of the game he highly doubted he'd be able to make it longer then five minutes, never mind the ten he'd been thinking about earlier. Thankfully it was already set up so he didn't have to struggle with that too. Some part of his brain just clocked out for a moment before he caught onto the last thing Pyotr said. "Alright... alright, first move." Taking the farthest white pawn to his left he moved it forwards once.

Micah held his hand to his heart. "You do know how to flatter me. One point for you." He told him with a grin that seemed to light up his whole face. Briefly his eyes flickered downwards when all Pytor managed to do was pout at him. Childishly he returned the look with an affirmative nod of his head. "He does, and it's just not fair on little ole me." Straightening up in the seat he did his best to turn his attention back to the game, but it was a difficult task.

A small scoff left his lips when he heard what his boyfriend had to say next. "That's not fair. You're already cheating and we haven't even begun." Despite his tone he so obviously couldn't hold a grudge against the other man, especially when he so adorably said oops, though it didn't seem like such an accident. "It's okay, I'll still find a way to win, whether it's now or later." Giving him a wink he leaned forward on his elbows before he moved the pawn forwards once more. "Now, is there anything else I should know before you try to cheat your way through the entire game?"

The smile gave it all away and he just shook his head as if he was dissapointed in the younger man. "You shouldn't lie to your elders." He told him reprimandingly as he fought off his own grin. His eyes narrowed at the slight mock he heard in the other mans voice. It was clear he wouldn't win due to his lack of knowledge in the game, but that didn't mean he wouldn't have first time luck... even though this was his third attempt at getting through the game. Each time he'd tried playing with Pyotr it usually ended up with him giving up halfway and doing other things... A moment passed after he placed his pawn down once more and he paused wondering whether or not he was going to take his turn. Micah looked up just in time to hear his words and he had trouble containing himself before he gave him a nonchalant shrug. "I do believe that is a distraction." He told him with an all knowing gaze as he titled his head to the side.

Seeing the frown Micah quickly managed to correct himself. "Perhaps not that much older but definitely wiser." He told him, tapping his temple ever so slightly before sitting up in his chair and leaning over the game board. "Though I do suppose you've got me in chess." Once more he moved his pawn, but this time he did so to the right. Judging by Pytor's expression it seemed obvious that he'd lose if he continued this way.

The time it took for him to make the next move passed by slowly, and he was half tempted to just end it there. Almost in a sub-conscious response Micah bit his own lower lip as he watched him intently, though he'd be lying if he said he was paying any attention to what was going with the board. Only when he laughed was his gaze dismantled and he was forced to move another pawn forwards, this time in the center. "Any pointers?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. If Pytor's wasn't going to tell him how to win he'd simply copy him. It didn't matter though, 'cause history tended to repeat itself when they played this game.

"Aww you've got a bit of muscle too." Despite how small Pytor was he had to be strong if he was going around stabbing Strigoi. If he wasn't there'd be no chance in hell that Micah would ever let Pytor leave the academy without him. Not to say that he didn't trust the other guardians, he could just be overly protective. "I got all strength from having to carry you from the library back to our room." He could barely keep count of the number of times he'd found the younger man sprawled out on the couch with his eyes closed and a book on his lap.

Micah's eyes flickered down towards the pieces he moved wondering what exactly their significance was. Humming softly be placed his finger on one of the rook's to move it forwards before stopping. "Didn't we already agree that was a distraction?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. Even as he said so, though, he was leaning across the small table.

Micah smirked playfully when he saw the small flush on his cheeks. "It's okay everyone who saw me carrying you thought it was absolutely adorable." He told him with a teasing tone. It felt comforting to have Pytor in his arms- to know he was safe and that nothing could hurt him. Now he wasn't so sure that was a possibility, but before it had been so simple to know he could take care of him.

"At least with such a short memory we know you won't be telling anyone about all the fun we had playing chess." Micah murmured against his lips just before they connected. After six years of dating there was still a definite spark every time they kissed, and he was rather sure he would never get tired of this. Lightly he flickered his tongue across Pytor's bottom lip as he leaned further into him.

"Well.. If that's what you think..." Micah said with a small shrug. In all the years they've slept in the same bed he'd caught Pytor in the act more than once, but it has to be one of the cutest things ever- especially when the younger man denied it.

A throaty growl escaped his parted lips when his lower lip was tugged. "Be sure to, I don't want my sparkling reputation to be ruined." Micah responded with a short grin. All at once the kiss seemed to end and it took all of his willpower not to start another one and just continue. His shoulders seemed to relax more so when he felt his warm touch. He pressed a short kiss to the bridge of Pytor's nose before speaking again. "Continue with the game... Or?"

Micah saw as his cheeks slowly turned into a shade that could only be described as a lovely rose. Smiling he reached for one of his hands kissing the back softly before just holding Pytor's hand in his and enjoying the feel. "It's okay. I still love you, how could I not." Especially when you still love me, He thought to himself, though he'd never voice such a thing out loud.

"It is." He didn't bother denying it as he gave a firm nod of his head. Micah's eyes flickered over Pytor's face just as he suddenly yawned. Chuckling softly he shook his head. "Does that mean no more fun?" He asked pulling a pout before getting back to his feet and placing the pawns back where he'd found them. It was just his luck they hadn't finished the game or it wouldn't have ended well.

It was almost strange how easily Pytor could read his mind. Of course he was sure the younger man couldn't know about his doubts, but sometimes it seemed as if he did. Micah squeezed his hand softly before dropping his own gaze down towards the table. How could he be so sure? There had to be someone younger and someone better that would eventually catch Pytor's eyes.

Briefly his eyes flickered towards the bit of skin he could see as Pytor's shirt rode up. It was so smooth, and so unlike Micah's scar-marred skin. Not to say he was covered in them, but he certainly had a few. Getting up he let out a soft sigh. Though he felt a bit weary he highly doubted he'd be able to sleep being that his classes started in only an hour. "So," Micah began, deciding to break their little charade, "Why are you back so early?" Though he was sure it was just to surprise him, there was also a part of him that was curious if something had gone wrong.

Micah raised an eyebrow as he saw Pytor shoving his hands into his pockets. Taking a step closer he wrapped an arm around his slim waist and pulled him closer. "It was a very long three weeks." He whispered into his ear. It was a shame that the younger man had to catch up on his sleep, and then he'd be off to classes.

Hearing him say that in a tired little murmure practically melted Micah's heart- and it was a well known fact that he had the most adorable boyfriend in the entire world. "How much did you miss me?" Micah asked with a sideways smile before taking Pytor's hand once more in order to lead him out of the recreation room.

Gently he ran his fingers through the soft threads of Pytor's hair, enjoying the simple feel of his body against his. Micah laughed ever so slightly as he spoke. "Well I can always watch you sleep for an hour." He told him with a teasing smirk. "Though I won't be no Edward Cullen."

"Well I missed you too." Micah conceded. "You should just stay at the academy and never leave again." He told him; as if it were that simple. Hearing what he said next he raised an eyebrow. "Oh I intend to take you to my bed, unless there's someone else's you prefer?" Micah looked back at him, making sure his glance was playful. Though he would easily take the day off to spend with Pytor he had no doubt his boyfriend would spend most of it sleeping, and after his short nightmare it was unlikely his body would give back into the act of doing such.

"No. I'm the spider man to your Mary Jane." He teased, lightly kissing him behind his ear. The twilight series was a complete mockery of the moroi. They drank blood, and the sense of doing so was also addicting, but they didn't sparkle in the sunlight- it weakened them, which is why they had night classes. But unlike the myth of superior strength they were a bit more fragile. They could learn to protect themselves, of course, but that's why they had dahmpir around to save the day. Micah swinger his arm along with his before laughing. "Just making sure." He replied easily, sounding more confident then he could possibly feel.

"Mmm, she dies." He confirms with a nod of his head. Watching movies and reading comic books wasn't one of his things so he could pretend to know exactly who this Gwen Stacy was. Micah smiled as Pytor squirmed against him. His tickilish side never failed to amuse him, and Pytor's laugh was absolutely adorable. He shrugged a bit about the classes. "Not too exciting." he told him, which was the truth, things were beginning to lag a bit as they hit the middle of the year, but he still had to find ways to motivate the students into wanting to condition their bodies. "What about you, how was life out there?" He kept the jealousy out of his voice as they approached the stairs.

Micah wondered for a second whether or not his boyfriends was down playing the entire situation to make it look like it wasn't all that fun. As far as Micah could remember, it was all that fun. Lately he'd been discussing with some other Dhampir about going out there again. It wasn't likely he'd ever be assigned another Moroi family, but he was still capable of stabbing a few blood suckers. Apparently, if he was lucky, he'd be sent out next week. Hopefully Pytor would be gone by then and he'd never have to tell him. He sighed taking the stairs one at a time. "Maybe once you're assigned to a family it'll be better. More sleep and all." He told him with a grin, praying that day would never happen. Pytor being assigned to a family would mean less time with them together, and the few moments they had were already stretching thin.

Micah sighed softly when Pytor let go of his hand and he walked a bit faster. Going up the stairs he often had no difficulty, but going down them he had to be careful. While he had a prosthetic, it wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world. One time soon after he lost his leg he got angry and practically flew down the stairs. It ended up with one broken prosthetic and him having to walk around with a crutch for a couple days. Now he was a bit more careful. Hearing his boyfriends response he raised an eyebrow in question. How could he not be excited about the possibility of being assigned to a family. "Not a Moroi person?" He teased scrunching his nose up at Pytor.

"Well it's not your job to entertain them. It's your job to entertain me." He teased with a playful wink in his boyfriends direction. At the mention though he shrugged. The family he'd been assigned were quite up there in the moroi hierarchy which made the chances of a storgoi attack very possible. It was strange though to think of his little Pytor being able to kill a Storgoi. Sure he'd seen how quick he could be in practice, but he'd never actually witnessed him driving one of those stakes into their heart.

"Well... I don't know. As of late you've been slacking at your job, so it looks like I have one of two options. To replace you or hold back on your rewards." He said with a simple gesture- as if the answer was as simple as it sounded. Micah looked back just in time to see Pytor gingerly touch his side and he raised an eyebrow in concern. "Are you okay?" He asked softly, immediately turning to the worst assumptions of why he could be possibly be home early. It wasn't just to surprise him, it couldn't be. Something happened out there and he wasn't going to roll over and pretend nothing had.

Micah couldn't help but to catch Pytor's contagious laughter as he stopped at the first landing; letting go of the railing for support. "How does one have two and a half children?" He asked with a questioning gaze as he looked over at his boyfriend before pausing, his steps faltering. Why hadn't he been told earlier? A soft growl left his lips before he was practically yanking up Pytor's shirt to see if this little swipe was in fact just a little one. Gently he ran his thumb softly across the angry pink line on his abdomen before shaking his head. "Why didn't you tell me earlier Pytor?"
