What is the weather like today where you live?

I live in Utah, and we had a horrible unseasonably HOT spell in late June/early July (right while we were moving - great). Then things cooled off a bit and were probably a bit cooler than normal. Today it's raining and in the upper 70s, which makes for a nice break. I can't wait for Fall. It's my favorite, too, right up until New Years (which I realize doesn't qualify as Fall, but - hey, it's a great time of year, no?) Then, I go through a minor depression after the holidays, during the slumpy part of the year. I need to find myself something to do that keeps me occupied during that time. Wow, I really rambled there. Sorry!
It is great hearing where you all are from. So far doesn't sound like any of us are fans of summer.
I spell autumn ~R-E-F-R-E-S-H-I-N-G,lol!
Hi Molly, and WELCOME to the group!

Hi Molly, and WELCOME to the group!
We were fortunate to have some 60 degree days this November, but I believe winter is finally settling in.
This month is my Birthday when I must renew my driver's license, so I am doing that today while the temps are in the high 40s.
How cold is it where you live?

FREEZING! Literally. It probably isn't even up to 32 yet. Unseasonably cold for as early in the season as it is. BRRR!

Wow Becky, what state do you live in?

I should also say that at the time I wrote that I had just arrived at work so it was 9:00 ish in the morning. It should get over 32 later in the day. I don't know what it is now. Thursday we should be in the 40s or something like that? More normal, so the weatherman said - for early December.
Wow Utah, some really rugged country out there.
I know that it's always disappointing to me if winter starts too early and cold. I like it to gently ease in, haha.

Definitely some rugged country here, but where I live is pretty civilized. Doesn't effect the weather, unfortunately!
Fall is my favorite season, and today will be a perfect 70 degree day to enjoy the trees changing color. Will be out and about today and tomorrow.

I think it might have reached 70 yesterday but not sure. We have had our first freeze which killed some ragweed.
I live in Minnesota and also love fall. We're a little past peak color here, but there are still pockets of red, orange and gold leaves to enjoy. Of course, that means the next couple of weekends will be spent raking!
Re: Autumn, so does that mean you are now enjoying "Indian Summer"? Where I live next to Lake Erie we haven't had a killing frost yet, but inland away from the lake has.
Re: Margaret, Wow you are already past peak color? It's just beginning here in northern Ohio!

I remember long ago my sister calling from CO to tell me they were having Indian Summer. Our color is 90% gone as we peaked early this year. It still exists down in the Springs at lower elevation.
I am very glad that 90% of the bugs are now gone.
There is a very interesting conversation going on now on a poll about bad language. I wish some of youse guys would join in as those who like cuss words seem to be in the majority.
I am in South Central Minnesota and it is currently 6 degrees (but feels like -7 degrees). We should have a high today of 20 degrees. Woo hoo!
When I saw my husband to the door this morning, I commented that it was chilly. After reading your post, I take it back. I'm in San Antonio, where it's warmer than 6 degrees (currently 54) and sunny.
It's been raining here, and in the middle 50s. We actually have flood warnings. But I'll take it over the cold.

I'm in Chanhassen. Supposed to be close to 50 tomorrow...kind of crazy for February in Minnesota. I know I'm in the minority, but I'm really missing the snow this winter.
20's here in northcentral Ohio after a wonderful 60 for the fist time in 25 years for that date just yesterday!

OK, I'll take 1 good snow and then I am ready for spring.

Hi Carol, No, I never heard of it, so I looked it up and see it's a small town in the west central part of the state. I am right on the south shore of Lake Erie.

We have been enjoying much warmer than average weather here, for February. It was 70 last Saturday, broke a 25 year record! May break it again this weekend.
We had been enjoying warmer weather - in the high 50s, low 60s, with lots of rain, but it actually snowed for a few minutes today. Didn't stick, but Ma nature is showing all her diverse moods today!
After some unusually warm weather during February where the temp approached 70 on several days, we're enjoying a much more typical Minnesota snow storm today. Such is "spring" in Minnesota :)
The same freaky weather is happening here in North Central Ohio, Margaret, broke records for 70's in Feb, now the next several days in the 20's with possible snow!
I actually started working in my garden yesterday, it was so nice. Took a walk with my mom and got pictures of blooming trees and bees... It will be devastating if we have another snow storm or even a hard frost.
I noticed some white bloom on a tree the other day. I believe it was a Magnolia tree.
I hope these below freezing temps won't kill it. I know crazy weather like this killed a nice big old neighborhood Mimosa[not really suited to our zone] back in the terrible winter of '78. :[

I live in California. From where I come from is smoldering. It'll be in a 3-digit temp. this week. Hot! Hot! Hot!
Oh wow, Lourdes, that is way too hot! My dream residence would be in San Diego. I don't think there is a more perfect climate anywhere. Not too hot, or too cold year-round.

I love Fall best of all!
