I'm going to keep plugging Elizabeth Freemantle books because I think she's brilliant.Watch the Lady
And since Star mentioned Anne of Cleves
My Lady of Cleves: A Novel of Henry VIII and Anne of Cleves
WATCH THE LADY great read!A couple of weeks ago there was a new release
Plantagenet Princess, Tudor Queen: The Story of Elizabeth of York by Samantha WilcoxsonOR
Cor Rotto: A Novel of Catherine Carey by Adrienne Dillard
Gretchen , what a wonderful suggestion ,( My Lady of Cleves ) .I am very interested in the author Elizabeth Freemantle . I read up on her when trying to decide what to read for September .
Second Cor Rotto: A Novel of Catherine Carey and also nominate The Queen's Governess
by Karen Harper
I'd like to nominate Jane Boleyn: The True Story of the Infamous Lady Rochfordby Julia Fox
and The King's Daughterby Barbara Kyle
The poll is here: https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/1... , or on the home page of the group.(They "fixed" the poll system, and now if you start a poll "today," it doesn't work properly, which is what happened to me last month. You need to set it to tomorrow's date for the start, and then go back and edit the poll to start on the right day.)
Oh yes, and we'll be discussing Jane Boleyn: The True Story of the Infamous Lady Rochford here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... .I'm hesitant myself, because I think there's not actually that much stuff to base a bio on, but we'll see. (Also true of Mary Boleyn, but in my view, Weir made that work as a "here's how much we don't know" book.)

Two nominations to a person, please.
If you can't remember what we've already read as a group (sometimes I can't, either!), there's a "group-read" shelf on the group's bookshelf with all our previous choices.
