Flamel's Immortal Portal discussion

So, I've seen the trailer for the film a couple times, and admit disappointment in the selection and/or direction for Nick Flamel and of the little of Dr. Dee. Both should have accents (French and English respectively) suggesting they're not from San Francisco. Flamel as no urgency or panic in his character--which were both present in the book.

And of course, there's been no news for months. Perhaps the project has been scrapped. Best decision, really, if they were proceeding down that path. But the books would still make excellent films, but they require a producer and director that love the books and can bring the characters to life.

Kinda reminds me how the Harry Potter movies started going downhill after Azkaban. Straying too far from the books, and certainly the direction of Prof. Dumbledore went to pot.

I'm guessing you saw the book trailer. There hasn't been a movie trailer made.
