Finnegans Wake Grappa discussion

The idea here is to identify those little words and phrase which pop up over and over, frequently disguised or distorted or jumbled up. Since I'm back rereading the ALP chapter (I.8) I thought I'd finally take a stab at gleaning a few of these, per example. The first list consists of those opposites in tension, ie, the Shem v. Shaun schtick. The second list consists of stuff I recall recurring over and over and repeated often hee und dort. (I use the word "leitmotiv" only in analogy to the Wagnerian practice.)

The other way to do it is to take a handful of favorites and collect all the forms in which the appear. Buckley shooting the Russian General must exist in about 101 forms.
