Despite her popularity, I think the only one I've read is My Sister's Keeper. And honestly I don't really remember what I thought of it -- just that I was shocked that the movie version totally changed the ending.
I have read many of her books and she is one of my favorite authors. I enjoy how thought provoking and deep her books delve into moral issues and questions. Whenever I read one of her books my family knows because I end up bringing up the books frequently asking their opinions. I will say though, many times I find myself irritated with her characters and frustrated with the directions the book leads and eventually comes to. As far as a list of her books I have read: My Sisters Keeper, Nineteen Minutes, Handle with Care, Change of Heart, and started without finishing both Picture Perfect and The Pact. I haven't read her books since junior high and early high school and I hope I am able to make enough time to read for this months chats!
Hi Natalie, I agree, her books are very thought-provoking! And definitely timely -- I found it very chilling in the interview with the author that while she was in Minneapolis writing this book, the news came on of a school shooting in Red Lake.
I'm not sure why, but this book didn't reel me in as much as I thought it would. I think possibly because I didn't especially care for any of the characters. Did anyone else experience this?
