too many to count but heres my best answerfor serious vamps queen of the damned by anne rice.
for humour argeneau vamps by lynsay sands.
For entertainment anita blake by laurell k hamilton
How about Candle Bay by Tamara Thorne? Read this years ago. Read all of her books. She's a pretty good horror writer.
It's difficult for me to choose between Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice and (not sure if it counts) the story 'Lady of the House of Love' by Angela Carter in her book The Bloody Chamber.
In standalone books, I liked Sunshine by Robin McKinley. For series, I love the Saint Germain books (Chelsea Quinn Yarbro), Sookie Stackhouse (Charlaine Harris), Vampire Empire (Clay & Susan Griffith), the All Soul's Trilogy (Deborah Harkness) and the Anne Rice vampire novels.
My favorite vampire book till yesterday was Vampire Academy..I just finished one other vampire book wich was awesome and i am reaaaaally looking forward to reading the second volume, It s the "Unhallowed Shadows (Chronicles of Archytas Book 1)" by Stefanos Kottas. I was just looking for a new read on Amazon and it was on the reccommended list. So vivid, an easy read, interesting plot twists and dark caracters! Totaly cool, Last but not least, i will definately agree with Lindsey that "The Vampire Lestat" was what got me into vampires ;-) I need to find the next book i m going to read..
I have a few favorites. Of course I love Vampire Academy it's one of the first books to get me started on vampires. A Bite's Tale is my favorite vampire fairy tale retelling and Tall, Dark & Lonely is my favorite adult vampire book.
My favorites are still ones I read in junior high and high school. The Vampire Diaries and the Night World Series by L.J. Smith. I absolutely love everything she has written.
yes to all of the above. I have to admit I love different spins on vampires.... however Moana the movie has ensured that I never read or watch twilight series again.... cause they are SHINY..... sorry you have to see the film to understand but now I can't get it out of my head!
I think my favorite was No Rest for the Wicked but the series has more than just vampires. I loved Sebastian.
Loved the first 4-5 books in the Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward, especially Lover Etetnal & Bloodlust by Milissa Deitz. It's an Australian book & sadly very hard to come by.
My most favorite is 'Salem's Lot by Stephen King. I also liked Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles and I loved the vampire books in the Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole. Love at Stakes series by Karrelyn Sparks and Half-Moon Hollow series by Molly Harper is good for a light, fluffy read.
